Certain Transformers BotBots Sets Available Now in the US and Canada

I saw these, ordered one, and am waiting on my seat's edge until it arrives.

But Bonz-Eye and Dimlit both appear to be Shedheads with no extra member for Jock Squad. Seems like a strange oversight. As it is Jock Squad only has 6 members, you'd thing Lost Bots would have two Jocks instead to bring their numbers up.

Also these are definitely not something I would buy online, I want to limit the chances of getting duplicates.

Probably a good call, mine arrived today and sure enough I did get one duplicate, but I got the donut and unicorn cupcake, which I was hoping for, so I'm happy overall. I haven't opened them yet, so no clue if the blind ones are duplicates either. Plus if the 5 packs do show up at retail before Christmas, I can always buy another without a duplicate and return one of the packs with a double.

It was asked where the Botbots would be found when they got to retail and it turns out that they are neither in the boy or girl aisle. As it turns out, they were found at a US Walmart in the stocking stuffer bins. In Canada, some have been found at the checkout line.

Only the single "blind bags" have been found at brick and mortar retail so far and it turns out that those include the rarest figures, since some characters are only found through blind bags. There is a way to figure out which character is in the bling bag since there is an number scratched into the bottom right of the back of the card. You can see numbers 16 and 9 below which correspond to Slobber Rock and S.A. Cheez, as you can tell from the list below, courtesy of tformers.com.

Yeah, I think its fair too. Would kind of be a dick move if all the blind bag ones could be found in the other standard packs. And in any case, we can know which ones are in the blind bags too.

Am I correct in the assumption that there's only ONE figure per blind bag? That... is going to end up being rather expensive...

On the one hand, yes, it's about 50 cents to a dollar more than what you get per figure for the multi-packs. On the other hand, I can say from experience that a lot of these blind bag sets end up in places like dollar stores and Five Below, so you can wait and take a chance that you'll find some of them there.

Both Walmarts in our area claimed to have these in stock, but after much searching, no luck.

Am I right in thinking there's been no official characterizations provided for the individual Botbots? Because Seibertron's photo-galleries are making my typing fingers itchy.

I managed to snag the ones I wanted from the blind bags at Walmart. Now I just have to wait for Santa to put them in mine and my youngest's stockings.

Before I did, I got lucky and noticed that due to Amazon shipping the three 5-packs I ordered in a bubble mailer, 2 of the 3 red bubbles for the blind figure on the 5-packs had some small cracks in them. I'm not mad, in fact this was helpful as I was able to flex the plastic on the bubble and see who was inside. That crossed 2 off my Walmart list.

I did notice that Entertainment Earth has an assortment of 5 and 8 packs as well as 6 packs and cases of the blind bags. The blind bags come 24 to a case, so I think there is a good chance of getting one of each. The ones I found at Walmart looked to be a single set of 1-24, So I'm guessing they are packaging them that way.

We've purchased 15 BotBots from two different Walmarts, and so far every one of the identifying numbers has been correct.

So I picked up 3 of these Botbots yesterday, and they are so cute! This was what the Tiny Turbo Changers were leading to, and I love it.

If anyone has dupes of the Penguin or Unicorn, those are the 2 I really want! Can't wait to start seeing the 5 and 8 packs!

Many were hoping that the Botbots would be found in stores soon especially since it is easier not to score so many doubles when you can actually see what is inside the multipack.

Well every single release has now hit Canada at Toysrus stores. The 5 packs are $12.99 and the 8 packs are $19.99 CAD. There is currently a Buy One Get One 50% off which includes all Transformers at Toysrus (you may need to remind the cashier since them arriving after the begining of the sale may require some workaround) making these even cheaper. As you will see in the images below, a lot of figures repeat eachother in the packs so there is a guide available showing which packs to by to get the entire set withthe least doubles possible. Seeing BotBots sold next to Titans Return Legends just makes me think that I would have been all over Titan Masters sold in multi-packs like this.

Thanks to the numbers on the backs I got all the botbots that I wanted out of the blind packs. These little guys are so much fun! Slobber-rock is my boy, he's a rock tortoise what's not to love? I can't wait to find the multi packs so I can get the unicorn, doughnut and penguin.

We have the same taste, those are the oens I wanted most too, along with Sudsbeard. My advice is to get the multipack with sudsbeard since he is unique and thus it would be the best way to avoid duplicates later.

I couldn't find these at my local walmart.

Depends where you are located and which stores. In Toysrus Canada, they are with the Transformers for now, but at Walmart in US they are in the stocking stuffer boxes.

I ordered 1 of each (Sugar Shock, Toilet Troop and Techie Team) of the 5 packs and a Jock Squad 8-pack from Amazon and lucked out and got all 4 of those mentioned above. The donut and unicorn are in one of the 5 packs as well as one of the 8 packs, so I'd see which one you like the rest of the assortment from and go for that in store. The penguin comes in the 5-pack with Sudsbeard, so you should be covered there.

I ended up with duplicates of the pencil and football, which I'm okay with. I may keep or trade them of give them to a family friend with youngsters.

A UK Transformers fan and looking for some pint sized fun? Upset that other countries can go to their local store and pick these up? Well don't despair, as just in time for Christmas, the Botbots have landed at Symths Toys Superstore! Normally Big Lots is a good place to look for older toys and potato chips from brands you've never heard of, but look at this, something new! Thanks to a sighting by our very own xRotorstormx of the Twincast Podcast crew we have news of the BotBots 5-packs showing up at Big Lots. Priced at $10 and appearing before most major retailers the 5-packs feature four visible figures and one secret figure under the red bubble, similar to the single figures that started showing up during the holidays.

Big Lots used to have the coolest TF KOs about 17-12 years ago, until Hasbro cracked down on the Operation Combination/upscaled Cybertron Legends KOs, kiboshing the greatest army-builder ever knocked off: red and yellow Tetra-seekers in scale with Titanium. Perhaps not that relevant, but a sore spot for me given the news about Hasbro's legal victory in China, and the fact that in exchange, we hardly got jack for official TFs in Big Lots.

But now, FINALLY, I have reason to go there again, so...yay.

Those Big Lots KOs were about the only KOs I'd tolerate since they're mostly garbage and aren't intended to replace or substitute official products the way "G1 reissue" KOs and OSKOs are. Most of the Big Lots KOs I have I already have the original and only buy them as novelties for their bright colors and weird dumbed down transformations.

I'll be at Big Lots next week, hope to find some of BotBots then.
