We have in hand images of the upcoming SDCC exclusive 2 pack featuring IDW inspired Orion Pax and Gladiator Megatron. The most telling of these images are the comparisons. While Orion Pax is a retool of the SS GE WFC Optimus Prime mold, it is significantly bigger. Not only that, but he doesnt have that gapping hole in his backside. While we can see the similarities to the original mold, these pictures show just how extensive the retooling is.
Unlike other sets, this isn't one where you can wait for a discount, as it will sell out quickly due to its limited nature. Will you be getting it?

Oh man... I wasn't very interested at first because I was worried it would be too short... but now I'm super interested...

I can't believe that Prime with all that extra tooling will only be available in some exclusive set. If I didn't know better I'd say it looks like a Generation Oneified version of RID 2015 Optimus Prime.

I wish they could have released these two as singles. I'm interested in Optimus but not that Megatron mold. However, I really do not like those WFC design thighs on Optimus. The set is an easy pass.

I'm the opposite. I'll gladly take that Megatron, but don't care for the Prime. But if I get him, Megatron will definitely get a fusion cannon in place of the drill.

The 2 pack with Optimus and Megatron called Fractured Friendship is now available on Pulse. This has Gladiator Megatron using the Siege mold (the miner variant we got last year) and Orion Pax using a retool of the the SS Gamer Edition Optimus Prime mold. This 2 pack is $74.99 USD and the link is below. It should be available on the other Pulse sites as well.

While I'd really like that Prime, I don't care for Megatron (like I suspect 80% us feel) but I'd get it on the cheap.

I also ordered one. I never got the Megatron/Ratbat so the retool is new to me [such that it is] and I think I only have 2 of that base mold so far, but it’s really only Prime I am excited for

I got my set. I also got Death's Head!

Not sure why the complaints on price, 2 voyagers is $35 x 2 = $70, and Prime has been heavily retooled and quite frankly made larger, so the extra $5 to me is justified there.

So I was able to get Death's Head ordered. I then thought I'd try for Cobra Commander since the front page said he was available for pre-order and I love the movie and they'll probably never do this again... but as of 11:05am he was sold out. Damn that was fast! I don't really care about missing out, but I'm surprised it was gone faster than the front page could update so soon after the pre-order sales started.

That, I didn't check.

Still, most Pulse exclusives find their way at GameStop Canada eventually, or at some other independent stores at a regular price.

Also, everything that is remotely interesting at Pulse get insta-sold out, no matter if you're Premium or not.

Really, the only thing that is truly worth it at pulse, IMO, are the HASLAB, who are truly exclusive.

As expected, this 2 pack is now available at some Canadian independent shops for a very reasonable 90$CAN plus tax(es) and shipping.

Death's Head arrived today and the whole package is pretty gorgeous, with lovely art on the side panels. I'm kinda tempted to leave him in box and I rather regret not picking up two when I had the chance.

Thanks to ToySnowman I managed to get two more Death's Heads. One to keep in box and another to potentially convert into his original armour. What a fantastic figure he is!
