Looks like you may be in for another titan, I see AIRLOCK.

I hadn't noticed that Nexus, at the back there, is holding the Enigma of Combination. (They're all holding their artifacts, I think: that one just stood out to me)
Also a YT embed of the announcement video for ease of watching, though the quality isn't quite as good as the Instagram / Facebook originals linked above.

Most of these guys aren't speaking to me. Hammer prime, that skirt is horrid. Red alert, I didn't like the original. Mega missle red alert was better. Matrix sword prime looks good enough to buy.
Sorry, no sleep in a month. I can't remember names.

Red Alert also looks stunning - wonder if they'll give us another Cannonball from it? Heh.

Looking at the Nexus statue I can't help but think he's a pre-tool for Cybertron Menasor from the way his knees bend to the "wings" on his back. I wonder if he himself could be the "frame" that the other five members combine with rather than relying on a Commander Class with a frame, freeing up the CC for Onslaught in 2026.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Pretty sure all those graphics about the exclusives are fan-made and not anything official Hasbro, especially considering they copy the text of all those original leaks down to the question mark on the Hearts of Steel set, so it could still possibly turn out to be incorrect.
Ah, good catch, I guess those didn't really offer much new information then. Fingers still crossed for a Topspin!

First up, Deluxe Solus Prime:

markclonus wrote:The goddess of the 13 primes, the forge master, the beautiful yet deadly, Solus Prime . The deluxe class will never be quite the same in terms of the female figures we’ve released before her. Please make some room in the toy room for the queen!
And secondly, Voyager Prima Prime:

Funny that Armada Unicron was brought up as a size comparison point - I literally have Armada Unicron stood next to Titan Scorponok on the cabinet across the room, and the Chaos Bringer is just above Scorpy's waist. Whether that's more or less than a 25% difference in mass & engineering, I leave to other people. At least Star Convoy does have the extra accessories in the MT-13 and mini Hot Rod (who I figure is somewhere around Legends scale?).

No she wasn't, I guess TransmetalTK just picked a body they liked, perhaps with the idea of her being a targetmaster-type companion figure for Anode. I believe she was originally based on TR Rewind, which would fit the comic scale better as a standalone figure.

That will be a "wait and see" situation for the Canadian price.
As for the Hotrod that come with Startimus, I bet it will be a modern Core Class.
Posted by Till-all-R1 on December 10th, 2024 @ 11:47am CST
Since I'm not into the thirteen Primes as much as others I'll probably cherry pick those, so far I'm liking Solus Prime but no interest in Prima Prime aesthetic/design wise. I also don't really have a place for all thirteen or I might get them all just to set up a special display of them. Though since I have absolutely zero interest in Star Optimus especially for that price, there's no point in trying to dedicate a space for them all.
After seeing this I'm now worried about just how much I'll be spending! lol

Missing the CC Silverbolt, Pulse says he's coming in November which can't possibly be true, that has to be a worst case estimate unless he and the SS86 Constructicon set are swapping release timeframes (usually main line is summer and CC86 is fall).

He should be a Micromaster like the original, but he does look a little big in pictures despite still being called a Micromaster.

Yeah, he def looks bigger than the Siege Micromasters to me. I would have said Core too but couldn't decide exactly how big he was against Star Convoy and hedged my bets.Emerje wrote:He should be a Micromaster like the original, but he does look a little big in pictures despite still being called a Micromaster.-Kanrabat- wrote:As for the Hotrod that come with Startimus, I bet it will be a modern Core Class.

Now that they've given a height of 15" for Star Convoy in the video, if the product photos on on the prev page are accurate, then I make Hot Rod to be around 3.5" tall.

I think they did talk about the SS86 commander being in july when they revealed Devastator. Here's the video at the relevant timestamp:

The name "Tread Unit" seems to have been born out of someone misinterpreting the Japanese text on the back of the original Star Convoy toy's box that referred to a "Trailer Unit", but which was talking about a slot where a Micro Trailer accessory would slide into the side of Star Convoy's base mode. According to both the original toy's instructions and the Return of Convoy story pages, what the English-speaking fandom has been calling a "Tread Unit" for all these decades is actually named "Micro Carrier".

I watched the video after I posted that. What's really strange is the press release says Summer so I don't know why Pulse still says November.

Then you have Amazon claiming that Silverbolt and Slingshot are coming in April, the rest of the wave including Titan Star Prime coming in May with lonely old Wasp coming in November.

It's very strange.
Anybody else have this happen?
Can't figure out of some kind soul somewhere bought them for me, and I will get them next year, or its Amazon getting terribly mixed up.
It's the first time this happens.

Not to mention any other unknown additions I might want later on in the year.
After seeing this I'm now worried about just how much I'll be spending! lol
We've been on the same page quite a lot...
Towards the start of this year I was convinced I'd basically be on a collecting hiatus in 2025.
I was assuming one of the original G1 deluxe Insecticons would get an update, one to two G1 minibots would be released, possibly another retool of Wreck-gar for a Junkion in SS86, then maybe an unexpected, surprise release of some kind such as a crossover figure.
Now I'm planning getting:
-SS86 Galvatron
-Legacy United Cosmos
-SS86 Megatron
-SS86 Target Exclusive Perceptor, Ramhorn, and Ratbat
-AotP Aerialbots
-SS86 Constructicons x2
I've also preordered AotP Megatronus (even though this is a 'maybe'), and will definitely get Insecticon Venom whenever/however he is released. I also have a feeling that Hastak may reel me in with the new Combaticons... I'm actually really glad those can't all be released this year.
Then, based on what we've seen, there are a couple other primes that could be appealing, and I'm also interested in seeing the exclusive Twintwist/Spinister 2-pk, as well as the Selects G2 Snarl and Slag 2-pk.
I know for some that list above seems short and maybe even minimal.
But considering I thought I'd be buying 5 figures at the most for the whole year, with maybe 1-2 being voyager class... I'll be dropping 5 times that amount, and that doesn't include anything on my 'maybe' list, or any unexpected, surprise purchases.
All that to say, yeah, I'm also a bit worried about how much I'll be spending. This is by no means a complaint... There's just a pretty substantial difference between spending $170-ish, and $820-$1k-ish.

SS86 Galvatron isn't one I care to rebuy, the Kingdom version is all I need despite the minor nitpicks.
I keep forgetting about SS86 Leader megs, I just really hope it delivers the first time out and it's not another three version later when it's "perfect". lol Namely a UM Prime thing in terms of G1 animation aesthetics or numerous other redos like Blaster. Though I know the name of the game is mold usage it its fullest.
I already went out of my way to Get the Previos Cosmos so I won't need this reissue.
SS86 Perceptor with cassettes is severely assaulting my goodwill, I mean why they they keep doing this... Me personally am only after Ramhorn as I already have Perceptor and no use for Ratbat, which means it's me almost impossible to sell off Perceptor to make it worth it after fees and shipping. And maybe it's better than getting yet another release of that non accurate Soundwave, but couldn't they have packed them in with a Bot that isn't so easy to acquire. Like Thrust? lol
So that one is definitely in the maybe category making the Galvatron and Cosmos the only two non buys.

Yeah my list is rather small compared to most since I tend to keep it strictly G1 and only venture out for 1-2 other mediums if I like a design or character from it.
While I was curious if they would revisit the Aerialbots any time soon I wasn't anticipating getting two combiners in the same year! So now instead of six I'm now having to get eleven, five extra which carry along with it a hefty price tag for one. Certainly a significant increase from G1 era and a moderate increase from Combiner wars era. But along with that comes better engineering even if quality in materials has slipped a tad. Luckily for me there's no Titan to add to the list of wants or I'd be really fretting the budget.
There are still a few more I hope to see as I'd like the Minibots finished off fairly soon, top of the list for me would would be Powerglide. He's the one figure that's still way out of scale with the others. Seaspray is somewhat the same size as the new figures so can be overlooked for now, maybe even longer.

Slingshot- Definite buy, my fav and only Aerialbot I got in CW and now. I can see how some won't like this set-up similar to Menasor, but it looks awesome to me. Even added on to Silverbolt in jet mode its not horrible. Back of Slingshots feet are his weak spot though.
Wasp- Super sweet. I didn't buy Bee and was waiting on Wasp to gets this mould. Pre-beast mode Waspinator, awesome.
Titan Star Convoy looks amazing, I just don't need a giant Optimus. I have and love Super Megs, but I dont need Prime. What I do need is a G2 comic Yaniger style head for SS86 Optimus. As chunky as he is, it would look badass. I had, wrongly, assumed Hot Rod would just be the core figure from a bit ago, included or

G2 Grimlock looks awesome, but I don't need a repaint. What repaint I do really want is SS86 core class Wheelie in wild boy of Quintesson style as a stand alone figure. Sharkticon tooth necklace not necessary, but would be sweet.
EDIT: Oh, I also pre-ordered Cosmos, as I missed him last time. Very thankful for the redo.

The two biggest issues is Flatline would have to be a G1-ified movie bot and Helex would be disappointing as a Voyager. I can't really think of any other reason they would justify an obscure character like Flatline for a Voyager.

I meant Amalgamous, I get those two names mixed all the time. Maybe its information creep, or two timelines coming together.

My prediction/assumption is that it's because it's gonna be IDW/Earth Wars Flatline as a Red Alert retool, rather than the Bayverse incarnation, since he already has a hood chest, they're already doing more obscure comic characters as retools anyway (cough cough Javelin and Kaskade), and Red Alert doesn't really have an existing retool option otherwise.Emerje wrote:The two biggest issues is Flatline would have to be a G1-ified movie bot and Helex would be disappointing as a Voyager. That's as possible as anything, though so far none of the Armada figure have been retooled, just repainted. I imagine we have an orange Red Alert coming. I wonder if there's a toy-style head on the mold, too.

Their being cheapskates and making the worst Transformers cartoon ever is what changed your mind?Hero Alpha wrote:I hope its IDW Flatline. That was a good look. I bet no one will agree with me; but, I hope they reuse Superion's head for a future Computron, like CW did. It's a perfect looking Superion head, but after CW figures and show, Computron has a faceplate now for me. Also I am only buying Slingshot, and will buy the complete possible future Computron. So the heads being the same is my own selfish preference. Most of the time I am nearer on the scale to G1 Sunbow purist, but they changed my mind on this one.

I just couldn't get past the color of Kingdom Galvatron, and I know this will be the final copy of him that I get.
Then with SS86 Megatron, I've probably hyped that up in my own mind too much. You're probably right; there may be a couple different versions before it's actually right... But who knows, will Hastak cut us a break this time?
My friend snagged me a copy of Velocitron Cosmos... And with what a cluster of a situation that was, I really feel like I should keep that copy sealed. The L.U. version will get opened for sure.
I understand that Ratbat, Ramhorn, and Perceptor were all in that scene of the movie, but yeah, I'm not excited about getting that whole set just for Ratbat. Since I held on to Steeljaw too long to return him, I suppose I may keep Ramhorn. And then it will be interesting to see if Perceptor has any changes in deco that make him even more movie accurate.

I was ready to skip Superion and the Aerialbots. But for me, that combined mode is really good. And just recently I saw a comparison shot (2 different photos) side by side, and even though my UW version is great, this new one is even better.
I'm not a huge fan of Powerglide, but I'd probably get him. And really, the same goes for Windcharger and Seaspray. I'm sure we'll get one if not a couple of those in '26. But I'm also thankful there's no Titan figure to add to my want list...
And back to combiners, my gut is telling me that in '26 we'll get a new Defensor with the rest of the Combaticons... Hastak will probably get me with those-- I was never completely happy with my CW Defensor, and my UW Bruticus had some QC issues that are annoying.
But yeah, don't go spending too much money at pop-up bars and on other presents for yourself in the next couple weeks... 2025 is going to be an expensive one for TF.
