More on topic, the Starscream repaint looks like it's the two-seater, but the redo Sky Striker has only one seat. So sill Starscream be the one-seater and this is just a mockup?

GIJoe has received interesting toys at the last few ComicCons, usually selling out within a day or two. The typically lackluster Transformers offerings (last two years: simple re-releases of G1 toys), however, typically show up on hasbrotoyshop.com a few days later.
C'mon, Hasbro: Give us TRANSFORMERS fans something interesting, too!

If you're requesting that they make a Transformer that looks like a G.I. Joe vehicle (instead of a G.I. Joe vehicle that looks like a Transformer), we already got just that: Energon Snow Catemeraldbeacon wrote:This is a really cool thing... for GIJoe fans that happen to like Transformers. I think it does a great job at bringing a bit of our fandom into their world. What I'd like to see, is for Hasbro do to the opposite, too: Bring a little bit of GIJoe into the Transformers universe. How about Voyager Powerglide repainted in navy blue and red, called 'Rattler'? The recently released Tomahawk in olive drab and silver, as 'Dragonfly', with Terradive repainted as 'Conquest'? There's plenty of interesting military equipment out there these days, too, like Hailstorm/Mindset, Bludgeon/Banzaitron, and Straxus/Skullgrin, not to mention less obvious military units like Hound.

Right, which we've had since the Energon line... but that was a cross-line homage, not an explicit connection, like they're doing with this product. To my knowledge, this is the first official union between the TF and Joe lines, in plastic form.

Same here,. I can't wait to see what they are going to do for a Transformers Exclusive this year. I wished, though, that they could have done something like Blaster the year I went to San Diego. Don't get me wrong, Hot Rodimus was kool, and I picked up Menasor just for the simple fact that he was there, but a G1 reissue would have been awesome. On a great note, though, that's where I got my beloved Sixshot.

Which is like a fan of the Spiderman toys passing on new product because it does not do what a spider can nor spins a web any size.

Technically correct, but it's the second Official TF/Joe toy. Titaniums Megatron's bios specifically describes him as being forced to follow Cobra Commander because CC had acquired the Matrix.

I take it you're not an Action Master fan, then?

Amusing analogical attempt at an insult. Don't get your panties in a bunch, cupcake. And forgive me for not subscribing to the lemming thought process when it comes to Con exclusives. Maybe if it had some kind of transforming gimmick like the old MASK toys - even then, a pass. If you like it, enjoy it. All 80 bucks worth. I got bigger FansProject fish to fry.
Action Masters... nah not a big fan. Nor Movie Replicas, statuettes, or ... what are those minifigs called (robot heroes?). Not knockin 'em, just keeping my trophy room unhoarderish.

Assuming of course that there actually will be a Transformers exclusive and this isn't just some sort of cop-out.
It's neat, but pointless to me and my collecting habits

to be technical, Starscream was a Night raven in the comic that had CC piloting him with Megatron in his holster.

That would be cool. If something like that was SDCC, it would be a repaint of one the Energon combiner teams. Personally, I like this set and will buy it if is reasonable, which in the past, SDCC stuff has been comfortably priced, for me.

TNI: How much will the San Diego Comic Con exclusive Transformers/G.I. Joe Skystriker with Cobra Commander figure cost and will it also be sold online after the convention on HasbroToyShop.com?
Hasbro: The Sky Striker will be sold at $49.99. Most of our SDCC exclusives will be available on HTS the Monday after the close of the convention. However, there will be limited quantities so act fast!
The set will consist of a G.I. Joe Sky Striker in Starscream deco, Cobra Commander figure, and Megatron pistol accessory.

Dude, this is not G1 Starscream of the cartoon (or any fiction in which he bore his G1 F-15 Eagle body). This is G1 Starscream of a crossover story in which he became an F-14 Tomcat.Rated X wrote:Starscream was not an F-14 Tomcat. He was an F-15 Eagle.
I can understand not wanting to buy this (I myself don't want it either). But not wanting it for that specific reason is borderline Geewunner/Geewhiner territory.

Now, with regards to the non-transforming aspect, I would like to bring up the ff: RPMs, Revoltechs, Robot Heroes, Mighty Muggs and the countless other statues and busts out there.

I was under the impression that this was just a homage made for a G.I. Joe convention. Do they really need a silly comic book story to justify the toys existance ???
I got Sky-Striker already. Dont need another one.

Err, maybe I should have clarified. It's a hypothetical interpretation of Screamer if he had become this form in a crossover story. I'm not certain if there's an actual comic or not.Rated X wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Dude, this is not G1 Starscream of the cartoon (or any fiction in which he bore his G1 F-15 Eagle body). Starscream and CC makes perfect sense if you keep in mind that they were both voiced by Chris Latta in the cartoon.
