No trademark markings on the names (like "tm" and "®"), plus the difficulty rating is in 6 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.

In Canada, the Transformers toys never had the trademark insignias on the packages because Canada doesn't have the U.S. Trademark Office and these packages are also sold in Mexico and in European stores.

I was going to say, and I may be wrong, but I think Canada has different standards for that sort of thing... Things I've bought from Canada generally don't have the same packages as they do in the US, but I could be wrong.

Thats what I meant - they use the EU packaging so they have the French and English covered. No need to design a Canada specific package that way.

So it wouldn't surprise me if we start seeing Dutch\French\Italian\Mongoose appear on more toys

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:I find it a bit hard to believe they'd put Dutch of all languages on something meant for the US and Canada. Just saying.
They do. It's to make it easier, as others have said, in terms of EU and CA markets. Put all the languages on there, sell them in both without repackaging.
Same goes with comics - Canada did not get the in-pack stuff at retail because of the language laws, as we didn't in the EU.

Here's hoping for a Dutch release.

They're teasing you. There is Dutch on the packaging, but there is no Dutch release.

That IS indeed the Euro packaging displayed above. Luckily for everyone, I keep Bludgeon sealed for reasons. Here it is, the CANADIAN packaging.

It's a trilingual packaging. English, French, Spanish. The "small parts waring" label on the front is only in english for some reason and there's a stupid bonus sticker in French and English only for Québec about the website.
EDIT:
Eat a bag of shit, Photobucket. The thing keep confusing the orientation of the first picture no matter what I do...

Anywho, all Targets, TRU, and Walmarts have been well stocked with these for about two months now in my neck of the woods. Pretty easy to come by at the moment. In a few months we will see them on clearance at Winners, Marshalls, Home Sense, and XSCargo.

Down_Shift wrote:We have tri-lingual packaging because it saves Hasbro a tonne of money. Hasbro Canada shares the distribution cost by using the tri-lingual packaging to help other marketing areas, like Mexico and Quebec. (I know, Quebec is part of Canada. Try telling that to french speaking Quebecers) All Hasbro packaging is made in Quebec if I'm not mistaken. Or maybe it's all packaged there. Can't remember...![]()
Yup. Check out ALL Hasbro packagings. On the back, it say "Longeuil, Québec". Also, sometime, the rest of Canada and the USA forget that Quebec is part of Canada too. I often bitch about it and It's not over yet, but WHAT'S UP WITH THE ENGLISH ONLY TrU TF EXCLUSIVES?! Because of that stupid policy of theirs, Quebec (and Mexico I bet) miss out on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. No Masterpeices, no specials, no Year of the Blank, nothing. Eat shit, TrU. They could make the tri-lingual packaging for all of these but nooooooooo it's way too hard.

In Laval, I check often at my Target, TrU, and Walmart. Only Walmart had these 3 new commanders. They only had ONE of each. So I took Magnus and Skullface right away not to miss out. Maybe you are lucky to be overflowed in your area. Maybe more will come out here. Maybe not. Something tell me that like always, these end-of-a-line TFs will be very, very badly distributed.

At this point I doubt they are coming to the USA. I have found 2 different carded versions of each and they are both Tri Lingual.

No worries. They will be in stock at TJ Maxx/Marshalls in the next six or so months. Minus the inflated price too. Even if not, is it really that much of a loss? Two characters that have already been done better before and one that doesn't even exist in the Prime universe.

None of the discount stores really carry Commander Class figures especially tri lingual. I have seen maybe a handful of them over 3 years total.
