Artist Andrew Griffith has revealed the cover to Transformers: Robots in Disguise Ongoing #8 featuring the Dinobots. We learned during IDW's BotCon panel that the Dinobots minus Grimlock, who is appearing in Transformers: MTME, would be showing up in Transformers: RID. Cover art mirrored below.

I really like the badassity of the cover, but I'm not a fan of the Dinobot's designs.

Wondering why Grimlock was absent from the Transformers: Robots in Disguise #8 cover we posted earlier today? It's because he's right here on the cover of Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #8! All part of IDW's Dinobot month, the team will be divided between the two ongoing titles. Alex Milne updated his deviantART account with the cover to issue 8 mirrored below.
so this image was shown off at botcon this past weekend so i figured it would be alright to show it off here. hopefully get a better look at it
this is the cover to MTMTE issue 8, and yes it features Grimlock
i guess now we finally get to find out what happened to him since last we saw him which i think was in maximum dinobots?
i had a lot of fun with this cover
it has a batman feel to it, which i did not intend until after i stated placing in the shadows and i thought, why not go pretty heavy on the shadows like in the batman comics i read. this was the result, and i like how it turned out
got to work with Joana on this cover. when we were talking about it, i noticed that this was going to be out first cover together that wasn't part of the movie line. i thought that was pretty cool.
the bots in the foreground don't look to happy. i wonder if they know whats about to happen???

I wonder if the issue explains why they are still using dinosaur alt modes. The Dynobots do have the ability to switch back to Cybertronian alt modes.

Wasn't it explained in Spotlight Grimlock that they're stuck with these alt-modes? Grimlock at least kept failing at removing it.

Didn't it reference Grimlock as an autobot prisoner at Garrus-9 during LSOTW?

Yes, but we didn't 'see' him as was stated in the text. WE only heard he was there and then left.

In LSOTW a Decepticon said that Grimlock went crazy watching the other Autobots fight and left somehow.
