Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Figures Sighted At UK Retail

Just brought Megs and a few botbots well happy. Smyths in Southampton if you are wondering.

Was it just megs there or did they have deluxes?

I triple dipped myself, well technically my 2nd 3rd and 4th, but I'm returning one to Target, where I paid full price for my first one. I'v got some specific plans that will require 3 weaponizers. Photos to follow once they arrive.

Edit: what's crazy is the 3 I ordered today only cost me $3-4 more than the individual one I bought first.

As we can see, Ironhide is fully painted, with a nice rich, red paint finish and properly colored forearms, unlike the sample seen recently at Tokyo Comic Con 2018. Prowl looks good, except for all the yellow. God, why is there yellow on Prowl? But I’ll be getting him anyway. And thank Primus they painted Ironhide properly, he actually looks really nice. If he’s not too short I’d like to pick him up too.

Well that yellow is pretty loud, so let's hope it's toned down a bit under normal lights. Hey, you get to have a preference and a quick over coat of gold would be pretty easy.

I wonder how similar Cog and Sixgun's engineering will be and will we be able to make frankenbots out of them and Brunt? Talk about easy Siege Junkions!

You hadn't seen him yet? He's wholly original and even cooler; it does, however use two of sideswipes' red guns

It's a few small accents: a small yellow chevron on each arm, two small yellow stripes on his waist, and a small yellow triangle on his pelvis. It's hardly "so much yellow"
And these are all based on decals the original Prowl toy had, as has been demonstrated.

There's a particular reason behind those arm chevrons, too: they're meant to look like an officer's rank stripes.

Not sure on Sixgun, but I do have some frankenbot fun planned once my "We Three Cogs of Hasbro Toy Shop" arrive. Photos sure to follow.

Has anyone else reflected on how the Leader Optimus' inner robot is essentially a fancy version of the Burger King toy of Cybertron Optimus with a G1 head?

I think I may know why. That yellow seen there on Siege Prowl is a loud, slightly greenish tinted shade of yellow, whereas the yellow seen on most of those other examples you listed are more of a golden or American cheese shade of yellow. Warmer yellow as opposed to cooler yellow.

I hope the yellow paint looks a little better under more "natural" lighting. I do get why some people don't like all the yellow hightlights, though. The original decals for the G1 toy were only outlined in yellow on the pelvis. They should primarily be silver or gray for the squiggles on either side and red for the triangle in the middle. This feels quite lazy on Hasbro's part, honestly. I do like that addition of the yellow chevrons on the biceps, though, as those are accurate G1 sticker details and also, as someone mentioned earlier, a way to show Prowl's ranking as a police officer. If they had just used some red and silver on the pelvis and a richer light blue clear plastic for the car windows, Siege Prowl would have looked pretty much perfect...although, some blue headlights and some red break lights would have helped quite a bit too.

It is a bit lazy, yeah.

I think the greenish tinge might come from painting yellow onto black plastic

You know, the small and sunken-in look of the Magnus cab isn't much of an issue if you imagine it just moving in a straight line on a battlefield, just plowing through rubble like it ain't there. Like a tank on wheels. What I'm saying is: that vehicle mode looks brutal as fuck and is probably the most fitting of the war theme.

That Shockwave just keeps growing on me, Um as well, especially with the Cybertron Prime guns just connected there like that...Wait, does that mean they'll be the only guns Prime has? Will there be enough parts count to give him all the fire power Cybertron Prime had?

I won't buy much for this line. But I seriously NEED that Ultra Magnus and that Sixgun is mandatory for my Generations Metroplex.

How you know you're part of the problem when it comes to repaints with new heads: When you look at Chromia, and your first thought is "Hey, that mold could kinda work for Arcee" I do like the new figures, and though I only plan to pick up Ironhide and Sixgun from this wave of Deluxes, I will admit I'm slowly being tempted by that Chromia. I may end up buying her, but then I have to think about how I want my displays set up. Does she go in the WFC display, or with Elita and the other fembots? Hm... Decisions decisions

Went back a few pages to look at this pic, and while his appendages are all turned so we can't see the outer surfaces, it wasn't much help other than the two 5mm ports on his shoulders. But, judging by the play pattern for the entire line, and the likelihood that his trailer pieces attach via 5mm ports, I'm gonna go with, YES! Or at least a heavy, probably.

Okay thanks. Guess I'll only know for sure if he has any decent weaponizer setup once I fiddle with him and a Weaponizer.

So what I'm now curious about is where did the blue bumper butt go in this picture? That's the one thing I dislike most about this Magnus and am slightly worried about with the potential Optimus remold, but I'm wondering now if it comes off, or folds away or something because I don't see it here. I'd be really happy if it can fold up or something, looks pretty awkward otherwise.

More paint used, higher parts count, more complex transformations (higher R&D costs), plus the general rising cost of Transformers toys to meet inflation. Studio Series figures are already $19.99 for Deluxes. Generations was just lagging behind a bit.
