Ture it still can transform, how ever since the 2nd right hand is upside-down it wont hold prims 2nd gun, but that could just be mold degradation

We are saying the same things actually, I meant it makes perfect sense... for a platinum set If a pack of 3 deluxes is around 100$, a leader and a voyager added to that would be another hundred

Overquoting to say that for the one who is a new TF collector or one who entirely missed the ball, this set is a WAY better option than having to buy each separately from Ebay at the inflated secondary market prices, with individual shipping.

Perhaps... but as I see it, the argument is moreso that the Platinum sets shouldn't cost this much in the first place.

So, for BOTH the Platinums and Masterpieces, starting at the ridiculous high price give a chance to everyone to own one. This is the silver lining.

For real? That is EXCELLENT news! That mean the latecomers will have a chance at scoring great figures with a premium paintjob to boot! Sure, the initial price will be absurd, but these Platinums ALWAYS get on sale eventually.

It's not like MP Starscream, who came out inexplicably at only 90$CAN. That one lasted about 3 seconds on the shelves AND online.

To the extent where they actually cost less than the sum of their parts (Armada of Cyclonus costs 45 when three deluxes would usually cost 51, while Optimus vs Megatron costs 40 when two voyagers would usually cost 46). For a Platinum set, that's really hard to skip if you're wanting these.

Would you mind posting this in both the Steal of a Deal thread and the UK Sightings thread? This is amazing news for you brits. I would jump on that megs and optimus set if one of you doesnt have the molds yet.

But yeah... unfortunately neither of these sets I'm really interested in I have Classics Optimus from the AOE then and now 2-pack and I don't really care for that Megatron - especially with the Titans Return one coming out. And I get what the Armada of Cyclonus set is going for, but I don't particularly enjoy the concept of having mid-reformatting in toy form and I don't even think this one's pulled off that well. Which is a shame, because if they were normal rather than going for the reformatting gimmick I would adore getting my hands on Universe Cyclonus and Generations Scourge. And then there's the fact this set doesn't even have Nightstick...
