Cassy's Lugnut would've been a definite buy from me, and maybe a repaint or two. I like bulky TFs, and this is definitely the one that needs to be large and in charge.

Now that petrol prices have gone down, do PVC ABS also follow suit? Why I ask? Well those are byproducts of oil. Maybe 3rd party companies can lower their prices? Put it at par with Hasbro/Takara?

The Ultra Magnus we saw at Toy Fair fills my need for a modern Magnus, so I'm not worried about TW's version anymore. However, I'd still pay for that large bomber Megatron.

While that does affect prices, the bigger issue is # of units.
3P companies generally produce a lot fewer figures than HasTak, so you don't get the tooling costs spread over the larger number of figures produced.
That's the main reason 3P stuff is so much more expensive.
