I think the only variant I have left is the gold Linkin Park Soundwave set. And for regular cassettes, Rainslammer and Squakmonkey, and those rare Japanese dino's.

I may have already said this but I really wish the female cassettes (Rosanna and Flip Sides) would get some original molds. I know they were originally just Eject redecos but I feel they deserve original, more feminine molds. I'm not sure who I'd go for if they did bring out MP Rosanna and Flip Sides (assuming they were original molds or at least had Road Rage levels of retooling from hypothetical MP Eject/Rewind). Rosanna's schtick as an Autobot idol singer is adorable, but I like Flip Sides' deco more and have my own headcanon for her (partially based on her original bio) that she's a Decepticon infiltration cassette who, like a cross between RotF Alice and DotM Laserbeak, can transform into anything- including humans. In addition, when she is inside Soundwave, she gives him the ability to mimic any voice. Fortunately she's a complete ditz who would rather be using her shapeshifting abilities to sneak out of the Decepticon base and buy J-pop CDs than actually doing anything useful.

If you notice any splotches of blood on Scrapper here, don't worry, it's not mine!

So I managed to acquire a Titan Class Devastator in a completely legitimate way! I have to say, just playing with him for the one night I've had him so far, he's perfect! Or damn near it anyway, but my rose tinted glasses are too thick to allow me to see the obvious faults with him!

Of the combiners, Devastator was always my favorite. He manages to maintain a uniform colour scheme while also looking like a mishmash of mismatch! There's almost no symmetry to find on him, and that's how I like my robots! Heavier on one side than the other! Individually, Scrapper (though flawed in his symmetry) cuts a striking figure with his perfect proportions and big block limbs. He easily evokes the image of the G1 on-screen character, especially in the face and head design.

The places where he deviates don't detract from him at all. He has a pleasing balisong style leg transformation, and God of War swords so crazy that Kratos would tell him to tone it down. He even has the doofy looking "flight mode"! I love that, and I need more of it!

Sadly, this isn't mine. It's on loan from my brother-in-law while he stays with me for a month. Thankfully this gives me plenty of time to look at the whole squad!

Yeah, Hasui (and Yuki, on the Takara version) knocked it out of the park. When Hasbro unveiled the Constructicons I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect cartoon-accurate head-sculpts. And when it was revealed that Hasui was behind the set I wasn't surprised anymore. Same with the Rebirth Cerebros. Guy knows what he's doing.

Same, as much as the paintjob on this guy is great, he seems too colorful to be G1 Bruticus. Plus I actually like the flat grey bits of the Hasbro version, as Bruticus never seemed like the shiny type.

Saw a few pictures of fan-modes for Hot Spot's "repair bay" mode. Thought I'd try it out. It doesn't look too bad actually, so long as you ignore obvious robot parts!
