Yeah, he was loose complete, sitting on a shelf in a comic store we stopped at on the way to BotCon. I didn't want to spend the money because I wanted as much as possible to spend at the convention. But it was only $20! :BANG_HEAD:

Before and after shots of a Reprolabeled Arcee. The chrome parts really add a lot to the vehicle mode and the little details for the robot mode are appreciated. Still not sure if I'll fully chrome the front part of the vehicle mode. I like me some chrome, but them being white is more accurate. Good set, only took me two and a half hours to apply. A disproportionate amount of that time was spent trying to make sure the chrome V's were aligned properly and putting the dashboard stickers on.

No she didn't. And yet, the Toyhax sheet has random show-inaccurate chrome stickers for her fenders instead of pink and white stickers to cover the black.

It doesn't always have to accurate. I prefer "cool"/better looking over "accurate to the base material" anytime.

I understand about the accurate vs. better-looking thing, I really do. And I'm annoyed that there still aren't YELLOW shoulder stickers for G1 Sunstreaker because those would look better and actually serve the stickers' intended purpose better than the red ones would. But noooo, we can't have that can we. :-x

Yea, I should have added "IMO".
But we (only the once mentioned in this post) were only talking about the black anyway. And his case is that it's different from the show :-P

I'm guessing the reason she has it is something dumb like "Guhhh... we need a non-girly color in here, stat!" :roll:

I personally don't care for it. It's show-inaccurate and IMO the black-pink clash spoils what would be a clean paint layout. Now, if it was some sort of red I think it would look better.

Honestly, show accuracy doesn't overly matter to me most of the time. I know the paint on Arcee is prone to chipping (she's already missing some around her thighs) and that includes the white parts around the headlights. So I'm at least glad that I have the chrome stickers to replace the white paint for when/if it starts flaking off. But until then I'll keep them as Primus intended.

I definitely think show accuracy can go too far. MP-44, MP-45, and MP-47 are prime examples of that, because they bend over backward to accommodate the animation models' dumbing-down. And even dumb down their looks to match. It's why I consider them abominations and call them the Roger Rabbit MPs. WFC Astrotrain is another good example. That stupid chestplate...
