think this one is bad, but i neat idea.

all my classics seekers, still need a sunstorm.

skywarp, i dont know what it is but black and purple jets i am just a sucker for.

Wicked laser shots! That works great with movie voyager Blackout too!

Say, in regards to those purple backgrounds, I had no luck with the dropbox link I got from Combiner as the link just comes up "error". Where did you get your printable backgrounds?[/quote]

What camera are you using. I'm just using my Iphone. Do you have your light infused with with a filter or anything?

The set up you have there is exactly what i meant by filter.I should have used the word diffuser but I see that your using a light box set up.
I was wondering if you put something translucent or frosted over your light source to scatter and soften it reducing the glare. It really does give a more even light. I was gonna try something similar to that but haven't gotten around to it. It makes all the difference in my opinion.

It also helps to have a decent camera. Unlike the Iphone.

People way the iphone camera is rubbish but I have a friend who takes amazing shots with his. On the other hand, he IS a very talented photographer.

I am using digital camera too, there are few things I've learned when taking a photo for toy figures, first thing is to set the camera in Macro and second try to experiment with lights, if you can put your camera into a tripod it will be better for a steady shot.

Hmm. That light box looks about the same size as my... cobbled together setup made of cardboard and garbage bags. What light wattage do you use in those lamps though? And what kind of material do you use as backing?

Listening to the Twincast Episode 40 as well.

iPone camera is not going to give you good indoor pictures over all. You can go really far with a point and shoot camera if you control your arrangement properly.

Take some pics and provide your camera settings. I'll see if there's anything I notice.

These are the pictures taken by my iPhone 4. What do you think? The quality won't be as good as a high quality camera but with proper light (from the second picture you see I only use one lamp), it gets the job done. By the way, I didn't use the build in software but use an app instead. The app is called Camera Awesome and I believe it is free.

Yes. I'm seriously going to get another lamp soon. But on the other hand, I found out same angle with same light source, using just an ordinary digital camera can improve the shadow part. So iPhone4's camera still has its flaw. Some said using iPhone 4S will be much better since its resolution is much higher, but I don't have it.

It's not the number of pixels that counts - it's how it handles light and dark that's important. Lens aperture and shutter speed. These are the details that nobody (to my knowledge) ever publishes about phones.

Agreed. I'd like the Iphone to have an aperture and shutter speed control become standard. Instead of me having to hunt down two or three apps that do it for me and sometimes with mixed results with preset effects. The Iphone is advanced enough that i feel it should have those controls built in.
