They have also teased at a Motor Master .

Love the Gladius concept images. Think the 1984 Megatron robot mode is brillant. Fusion side arm canon being the tank turrent is genius. I'm definately interested in buying this.

what is up with these horrible models? Are they working with 90s technology? wtf? I can throw something on Photoshop right now and "tease" that Mooncake studios is making a MP Megatron. lol this is getting comical

They appear to be renders from pretty early on in the 3D modelling process.

Modelling a transforming action figure is not a simple task.

It's possible they released the early 3D model to prevent others from copying their design before it gets released.


I noticed on the pics, This has a release date of Summer 2014. So it's got to be almost in the factory production stage by now.

I'm more interested to see what happens with that MotorMaster , If it turns out to be a voyager class or taller and has an awesome sculpt i would buy it .

I'm not bothered if its not a combiner i just want an epic MM , FP Diesel doesn't cut it in robot mode at all .

Is Hedgemon the only Megatron toy in your collection?

Did you get rid of all other Megatron toys in your collection in favor of just wanting Hedgemon.

Do you own any Classics Generations Megatron toys?

How about all of those Alternate universe TF toy lines like Rid, AEC, BT, Alternity, MP, Movie verse, TFA, TFP-BH And others. Do you own any of these Megatron toys.

I assume you got some Beast Wars, BM & Botcon Megatron toys. Since you probably consider this a Different Persona Megatron.

You know there's no reason someone can't be 100% satisfied with a purchase they made to represent a character. Hegemon is a fantastic Megatron. If X is satisfied with him, good for him. Personally, I feel the same about Henkei Prime.

I don't often agree with X's way of putting things, but if he's happy with Hegemon over all other Megatrons - good for him. Saying "no tank you" is probably the least offensive way of saying he's not interested in something he's ever done.

I also own united voyager megatron (i hate his wings) GDO Megatron (basically bludgon with a megatron head) and united G2 megatron with an upgraded right hand add on. Thats my favorite tank megatron mold but I do wish he was voyager scale. I would love a proper G2 tank megatron in voyager scale in either green or blue G2 decos. What I dont want is a tank megatron in G1 colors because I associate the tank alt mode with G2 in my collection. My issue with this particular megatron is that in robot mode theyre trying to make it look like he still turns into a gun when he doesnt. I want to see the tank parts just like G2 megatron. Even if they painted him in green or blue, he just wouldnt be G2 to me (like the bludgon GDO mold) As far as G1 megatron turning into a silver tank, I just consider it too neo for my tastes. The real reason megatron became a tank is because of society not wanting kids to play with toy guns (except nerf) I frown on that movement. I remember the good ol days before all that nonsense. Go to a toystore now and try to find a toy gun that isnt neon orange and the shape of a fish.

In the Marvel USA-UK G-1 TF comics it was shown that Megatron initially had a Cybertronian Tank mode.

There Was a Takara Japanese TF G-1 toy line in 1991 called, Battle Stars. no toys for Megatron but There was a Super and Ultra Megatron shown in magna comics and toy catalogs art form. Super Megatron had a 1984 looking robot mode that transformed into a jet mode. I tend to agree with X, hold on, head is spinning....I prefer my G1 Megs to be a gun. If he has to be a tank I can reconcile that but don't have faux gun kibble. That said I will consider this mold once it is closer to finished. Too early to say yay or nay.

I wasn't disagreeing with X. I was asking him questions trying to figure out his Megatron toy collecting style.

I'll stick with SSL & Hasbro/Takara when it comes to tank Megatrons.

Personally, I have zero interest in seeing early polygonal CAD designs.

I agree. It gives us an idea of what toy they might be doing, but in this case (and some of the X-2 Toys sneak peaks) it just seems to diminish any excitement as these are far from the final product. It's blandish.

I don't mind the early 3D renders. At least they give me the Gist of what's planned in the Sculpt for both modes. I'd take this over nothing any day.

According to the pic,the Release date is the smmer or 2014. So the wait for further CGI & test shots will be weeks or momths. its certainly not going to take another year till we se something else from this toy.

I'd rather a company keep all their cards in hand until they have a test shot. I like the scenarios when we see a test shot & are holding the final product in hand 2 months later.

I agree with X's sentiments, United Megatron is my Megatron with no need to change him, and before anyone asks, no I don't own multiple Megatron and yes I sold Classics Megatron once I bought United Megs.
