He loves Drift but Hasbro won't make one.
Those BASTARDS!
Yeah, the lack of one cool (in my own opinion) figure is going to chap my ass THAT badly! Look, I do understand that we are not the target demo for these figures. I do understand that they are not going to possibly make EVERYBODY happy. What I have mentioned in previous posts, which I understand that not everybody sees, is some of the reasoning why I've had to post the way I do lately. Think about it from a group mentality aspect or like how Tommy Lee Jones explained it in MIB. A person is smart whereas "people" are dumb, shortsighted and panicky. The only posts that stick in your minds are the obnoxiuos a**holes. They really well thought out ones, in general, tend to fall by the wayside because they are dry. I've tried respond to folks "en masse" with logic and it falls on deaf ears. That much has been obvious by the fact that the same folks are spewing the same shortsighted stuff. It would be my hope that by rattling cages a bit while still interjecting points to ponder on, that folks might actually at least
try looking at something from a different perspective. I don't expect to sway folks to my point of view, that would be arrogant. I just want people to live up to the potential I know is inside everyone to view the world from more angles. If this means I have to start at a different level to get folks' attention, so be it. I think people are worth. It's probably selfish of me but it benefits us all in the long run.
As far as why Hasbro' has irritated me of late, that's a matter for me to reconcile and is going to fall into everyone else's category of personal opinion which is going to open a floodgate of attack against me. I just want those who blindly adore Hasbro to at least look at some of their practices (constant repaints, quality control, design choices etc.) and not accept blindly but to actually question the why's and wherefores and not take everything at face value. We are not sheep and yet we allow major corporations, regardless of what they produce, to turn us into sheep. Hasbro isn't our shepard, they just drive the feed truck and I think more folks need to realize and behave as such.
I won't appologize for attempting to manipulate views or thoughts. The educated and openminded will handle it in stride but the stubborn, headstrong ones will fight tooth and nail and will make themselves obvious. It is those folks who have my pity for they are missing out on so much of the world around them. I've stirred up anger, curiosity, resentment and, in a few instances, support and understanding. That's the first step in opening up a much larger view. I just hope others can understand why I do what I do. You all are worth it and all of us are capable of "seeing" so much more.
