Guys and girls, girls and guys gather around to feast your eyes! You just cant lose when you got your own supply of..IVANS OOZE!! XDD

Anyway gay sites are typically for meeting other gay men to go out with anyone and most of them I've met in my experience..they don't like transformers. XD So whats the point of even going to a place like that when all you wanna do is talk to people who like transformers? I'll settle this right now. If I was pushing my sexuality on anyone I would be like: "OMG MAN YOU HAVE BE GAY RIGHT NOW AND THINK GUYS ARE HOT!!!" That is seriously what I would say if I was trying to do that, unless I was joking which would also be followed by a XD. I never asked to be accepted or liked. I don't really see what the issue is, either if your straight, bi, gay, transsexual, or whatever it shouldn't really matter because we're all people who like the same thing here and even if your not gay so what? The point is to talk to people of like mind, people with open minds that do not mind a person being homosexual, because there are many who do. So that is why I opened the thread for this exact purpose, to meet open minded people. In no way is it pushing my sexuality on another person to gain attention. That thought in its self is just silly and ridiculous.

I have to admit that I find the "TFs don't have sex" attitude just as silly as the shippers who care about nothing but. (But then, I almost never agree with the extremes of a situation...)

I'm not really looking for anything in particular of that sort of thing because it honestly just doesn't get me off. The only picture I have relative to that is starscream and megatron from the energon series but they aren't really doing anything except cuddling, which was the reason behind why I decided to get it because it showed an expression that I particularly like. Other then that I'm not looking for bots having sexual intercourse and even if I was, there are many other people who are looking for it and imagine the same thing even those who are hardcore fans who been fans since the beginning. You just never know. XD

I just don't see how a rational thinking person would be LOOKING for it in transformers, a show from our childhoods. Yes ive seen beast wars, totally stupid that blacharachnia stuff, i choose to ignore that crap, for the simple reason,regardless of what we call 'sexuality', a species would not be given the sexual urge if it served no purpose other than pleasure.

Well people have all kinds of fetishes. I mean if they are showing those sorta things in the shows then it is obvious that they can also feel sexual urges to. It also maybe possible its just a romantic sorta thing more then sexual? Either way it shows that they can feel those sorts of emotions and since its official you can't really say its wrong. Sure you can ignore it but that doesn't mean its not happening lol.

I think it ESPECIALLY makes sense in Beast Wars! They do all have organic beast modes based off of sexually reproducing species. There was even that one episode where they HAD to learn to get in touch with the instincts of their beast modes. And what's one instinct that all animals on Earth have?

(Of course, that's not the ONLY instinct animals have. I watched most of Beast Wars going "Nooooooo, Silverbolt! She's a Black Widow! She'll bite your head off! Don't do it!")

And Transformers isn't from all of our childhoods. I wasn't even born when G1 was airing. I only started watching the Transformers shows a year ago, as an adult. And... well, I'm a college student, so besides Transformers, there's USUALLY only one thing on my mind... XD

I'm technically old enough to have watched G1 when I was a kid, but didn't for some reason. I came in with the '07 movie instead.

As such, I admit I tend to approach TF as a whole as I would any other scifi concept/series.

Seeing sexually suggestive things in movies and cartoons is hilarious especially if you're hanging with your mates then anything seems sexual.

Even if sex isn't a typical Transformers thing (which I prefer since they are robots) I think the TFs in Beast Wars had something aching to sex due to "learning" from "Earth Culture" maybe they adapted that for what ever reason. There is also romance in the 80's G1, but I think that's just based on finding a soul partner to be with and not for mating.

I think the creators put romance and sex references in simply to make them seem more human and for their own amusement.
We should be thankful that Archie doesn't make TF comics, those would be nothing but romance and love triangles.

And why did we even start to discus this? The topic is about gay TF fans not if TFs get it on with each other. Back on topic please.

I only personally know of two TF friends that are openly gay and they post on the collectors club board and sometimes on TFW. They are gonna be at the con this year...actually, they go every year (LOL). But they have been pretty open about it from the moment I met them. n10zguy is a geewunner like me and Kcabone is a Beastie fella. I make fun of him about it.

It would be freaking awesome to go, but unfortunately I wouldn't be able to go because of the whole traveling thing. I can only really go places that are within my state, which sucks.

One of my best friends in the Transformers fandom is gay, something I didn't realize when I first met him, mainly because he didn't fit into whatever sterotypes I was unfortunately carrying around in my head. Having known him for a couple years now I realize that we have very much in common, far beyond being Transformers fans. I also realize that a lot of things I thought I knew about gay people were totally wrong and I feel bad for him and his partner for some of the things they have to put up with.

It's ironic how it took meeting another adult who liked Transformers toys to help me "grow up" in a lot of my viewpoints but it's absolutely true.

Joking aside...and as an on topic question to everyone out there, how do you all feel about the use of the word "gay" when it's used in a derrogatory or discouraging manner? Do you do it? Do your friends do it? Does it actually matter?

Personally, I don't use it in those negative terms. I know enough people who aren't hetero that long, long ago it became kind of wrong even in my own mind to use it as such. That being said, around friends of mine who are gay, the word is often used in fun and truly good natured joking just like any other ball-busting you would do with your friends.

I'm not gay, but my brother is, and I've had this same conversation with him.
Not that any one single person gets to make the decision for an entire group, but as far as he's told me, the segment of Gay America he runs with don't care about the use of gay as a derogatory term so long as it isn't directed negatively at them specifically. Like, if I called you gay CP, my brother and his peeps wouldn't care, and if I call my brother gay they wouldn't care, unless I called my brother gay with the intent to hurt him. Then it becomes an issue.
My brother has also been known to go off on these enormous diatribes about how the term 'gay' came into being and usage, and honestly, the first time or two that I heard it I thought it was facinating, and then after that it just bored me.
I think that 'gay' is kind of like the N-word in application. It's like a horrid taboo to use unless the community to which it refers either uses it or doesn't find it offensive under some certain set of circumstances. Again, you can't take one person's opinion or the opinion communally held by a small-ish group of people to be the truth for the entirety of the group, but at least as far as I know, 'gay' is kind of situational, unless it's being used to offend a person. Then it's bad.
But then again, I'm not gay, so I don't have first hand expereince with the word being thrown around. So, you know, I may be totally full of ****, but what the hey, I tried.
