Riffing on a comment Steve2275 made about needing the kills/scores of his fellow non-posting bots to have a chance, we thought about creating something along the lines of an 'Iacon Accord'.
In a nutshell:
Unfortunately, there have to be some limitations, but I am doing everything I can to KEEP IT SIMPLE.Each Autobot commander that joins in certain CfC rounds will be allowed to nominate a non-posting Autobot player that they may also count the scores from.
- 1) You can only chose 1 team to help you each.
- 2) You have to post any kills/victories/points/etc. you want to claim (see #3), we simply do not have the time to count them ourselves.
- 3) You may collect their results as a faction in Iacon all you like, but they must be posted to GD by whoever chose them to count (e.g. Steve2275 chooses Kurn. All the bots can record Kern's victories in Iacon to help him, but Steve must be the one who posts them in GD.)
- 4) You can only add extra commanders up to the maximum of how many con players there are so the sides are even, so choose carefully.
(And I think this one will be a good idea as well.) - 5) The teams average level must be within 1 level of yours.
We think this will help balance things for -hunt games at least (Alt, Scalp and Scavenger) and we plan to use modified custom-named missions for any War rounds, but that's for a later post.
This idea is still in its initial stages, and I know this is far from being the silver bullet we need to kill this particular monster, but I'm looking for feedback, issues and other suggestions.
Do you (Autobots especially) think this could work?
