Congrats, but what was it exactly that you bought? I think I am following too many different threads here.

I just thought I would post a quick snapshot of my minicon parking lot. There are 291 individual minicons on the table but I have over 300.

What we were talking about was the X-Dimension Bumble (Percptor) set that comes with the TRU Magna Convoy set. I got one from Tempting Toys for $150, but the set is usually going for $275 to $300.

Eventhough the link is still up on Tempting toys, I'm the one that bought it.

So how many minicons are there to collect anyway?

Put Primus and Unicron in there and stick all of them on. It could be a mini-war. All you need to add is WST Prime and Megatron. Someone here needs to do a list of all the repaints and what-not to get the final count. Looks like you have all the easy to medium hard to find ones. No hell flame? I just found out about that one. A remold too. Now I want it. . .

Right now I'm at 362 minicons counting re-tools and recolors by looking over different website. Gotta do some more checking. I know I'm missing a few from Energon I haven't counted yet. Also trying to figure out if some of the Hasbro versus Takara are the same or not.

The Hell Flame Team and the White Hellflame Team are quite difficult to get, take your time about them. I paid these teams just 60$ each from a collector which was quitting collecting minicons...

Can you folks tell me the name of the minicon that came with the Costco Overload?

Not really...

See, the Prime in that package comes with Corona Sparkplug (like always) and technically...Overload IS a Minicon. The main body he has is a transsector. So, Overload doesn't come with any MiniCons. He is the Mini-Con and his combined form can only be made my plugging him in to reveal the second head in the truck.

Actually, no. MMTE says interesting things, but Overload is not a minicon by itself.
Overload's minicon is called Rollout.

Armada Rollout was repainted into Energon CostCo Rollout.

Yeah. If you look at pictures of the box it says "Overload w/ Rollout minicon." For the Ultra Magnus repaint the minicon is called Knockout. For Sentinel Maximus, it's Ape-ling. And Rollout/Knockout is called Magnus in Japan.

BTW, my minicon list is at 382 different ones. And I personally only own about 150 of them. I got tired yesterday so I stopped. Once I finish checking the different websites I'm going to have to ask you guys to help clear some things up such as differences between Hasbro and Japanese minicons.

Rollout being a Mini-con was the point.

Overload was just a weapons unit, never given real personality except for the MtMtE book entry. Even that is sketchy as the entry seems to just try and cram in both versions of his history (one being that both Overload and Rollout are sentient, the other being that Rollout is a Headmaster MiniCon with a larger, but seperate body).

Personally, I prefer the Headmaster version.

In other related news, even though it doesn't specifically state this, I like to think of Energon Omega Supreme and Sentinel as having Mini-Con components. (as every other headmaster in AEC is Mini-Con based)

Well, I always avoided considering minicons other than little TF having a regular powerlink port... Otherwise, I should add the golden Omega Supreme LD to my checklist, and it's not good!

The collection number went up by 12 today. (sun sword and dvd cars)

When I said I didn't know what I had in my collection, I was quite literal. I only consider about 100 of them to be mine. (the ones I collected myself) Sadly, I am loosing interest in collecting them now, after seeing them all out on the table, I realized that it is no longer my collection. I don't even know the names of the ones that are there.

Well, I don't personally know all minicon names. I know same names like Rollout, Over-Run, Run-Over and such because they are quite particular, but every time I have to check on google before naimng a minicon. BUT, what I know is the complete minicon checklist, which I have tatooed in my mind.
What do you mean by "collecting myself"? Are you collecting with another person, did you buy a whole collection from somebody... ?

My spouse decided that I needed more minicons so he became addicted to ebay. Collecting Transformers was a hobby that I had wanted to do all by myself.

Quite easy to keep track of what I have collected, because for me collecting them is the thrill of the hunt and each one has it's own story of how I aquired it. I am not actually complaining, I am glad he tries to support my hobby, but I think it is his hobby now and should be treated as such if he enjoys it that much.

He goes by "rotor" and I think he has one post in the buy/sell/trade part of the forum. He just joined Seibertron the other day. He is a good guy.

My extensive-minicon list is at 384 now. Haven't found a picture good picture of the yellow overload minicon yet to confirm that it's still called rollout. If anybody is interested in my list I can send it to them but it is in excel right now and incomplete.

FYI, while doing the list I found something interesting.

Armada Starscream's minicon is named Swindle.
Armada Thundercracker's minicon is named Zapmaster.
Energon Sam's CLub Starscream's (armada repaint) minicon is named Zapmaster. I just got a MISB box in last week so I can confirm it says this on the box. Don't know what it says on the instruction sheet.

I'm still working on the list but if a couple of people want to start answering questions I have here are some.
1) Green Unicorn Dead End = Armada Unicron Dead End?
2) What were the non-X-dimension teams released in Japan that were different from Hasbro. The clear dark saber (MM-17) is one. The red sea team (MM-15) is two. Any others?
3) Were there more then 3 versions of over-run? (OP over-run, NP run-over, UM over-run)
4) Were ther more then 5 versions of sparkplug (yellow, blue, red, green, gold) and 4 versions of corona sparkplug (gold-ish, silver, orange, blue)

1. Should just be Dead End. Green Unicron is really all of the Mini-Cons in a giant spirit gestalt. One would assume Dead End is restored for this.
2. Anime Perceptor, Blue Star Saber, Solid Star Saber. All of Micron Booster.
3. Yes, Crystal Convoy release. Black Convoy's is differen too I believe...
4. Sparkplug's gold version is a Lucky Draw, not really a fair count.
