Joe fans, Trans fans, our time has come to be unified as toy collectors. Sure there's been little nods here and there but Viper is really the first time Hasbro has crossed the streams and brought GI Joe and Transformers together at retail. Using the Legends Powerglide mold was a great idea, and giving it a new head that resembles the legendary Wild Weasel, puts it over the top. For me the best thing about the figure is the use (first time?) of the Cobra Air Force/Decepticon hybrid logo. Hopefully Viper will be showing up in your areas soon. Share this with your friends, share they joy of being a toy collector!

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

And you think Cobra Rattlers aren't "army building generic" ? According to the reviewer, the bio says he is a mindless drone. (stated during the gun mode segment)

Gee, I wonder, what I'm referencing to when I say an army building generic, could it possibly be the the viper figure? Could I possibly be saying that tailwind is less interesting, than viper a figure that is meant to represent the decepticon/cobra equivalent of a Stormtrooper?
Anyhow, if that was a little to subtle, yes I think Viper has worlds more personality in his appearance, compared to tailwind. Especially when you consider the latter of the two is just a blob of grey with blue limbs. If that warrants a figure, then i'd rather have a generations Bad Boy before tailwind.
You know what? I agree that the Air Strike Patrol were way more than forgettable generics. In his first issue at the helm of the U.S. comic, Furman turned them into a team with unique personalities in what little space he had. Tailwind in particular struck me as what I always wanted Starscream to be; that is, capable of shutting up up and biding his time. He deserves respect.Rated X wrote:SW's SilverHammer wrote:Rated X wrote:

You did not specify who you meant when you said "he". One could take your comment either way. I took it as the oppisite of what you intended.
Anyways I always found GI Joe toys to be a little boring. I did own a sky striker as a kid, but never cared about collecting a bunch of little men. I preferred me some kick ass robots. I would much rather have a tailwind. I slapped a con logo right on x-transbots version of the rattler and he has been tailwind ever since.

Blackjack just happens to be another forgotten Micromaster from a Decepticon team of four.
Transformers G1 1989 Blackjack (Blackheat) Gallery

I would rather have an actual Transformer homage over a GI Joke.
