It is an unbelievably, unseasonably beautiful day on the High Plains today. Took the girls outside in the back yard to work out some pent up wiggles, and bumped in to the Ol' Dawg making his perimeter sweep.

I have the Universe/Generations one, and he's Ballin' McAwesome. I think I like the green on this one better though.

I am pleasantly surprised how much I like old Hound. The green plastic they cast him in is really good looking. I like all these last wave rehashed deluxes, more than I thought I would. I'm just not sure I like the way they look on Sky Lynx.

Road Rage frustrates me, Hot Rodimus doesn't. I actually had him transformed quick, everything just unfolded and packed itself back together surprisingly well. Road Rage..they got the rage part right..

At least Hot Rodimus was a gift, right Ironhidensh?!

You know itscram, I really hope not to rain on your parade but your excellent shot with all the autobots on their guard really cemented my thoughts on Hot Rodimus. He looks phenominal dead on and seeing that whole team makes me super envious but because you have the camera looking down a bit to capture everyone, I just see Rodimus' big hollow backpack screaming in my face. As with Road Rage, I really dislike it when a toy doesnt look great at many angles. I love to pose and take pics like everyone here and I dont want to look down on my toys, especially the ons I paid good money for.

Of course, that is just me ruining it for myself (while you are being awesome having fun with a toy you love) and I am no beter than the people who hate on bayformer toys for their existence rather than trying them out. But I know myself and I would want to avoid the dissapointment I felt for Road Rage. When looking at her gaps and where her head sits on her body, I wasnt sure and having it in hand its worse than I thought. So me having these same instincts kicking in when seeing a pic of Hot Rodimus posed showing his backpack makes me think I may be dissapoined too.

At least Hot Rodimus's backpack holds together :lol:

I do have other shots over on my page that show the front angles, I did the high angle so you could see everyone better (not blocked by weapons or such). Even with the off angles, I still don't mind the backpack!

The fact he was a gift is the only reason he isn't on ebay. His transformation is fine, and everything does tab into place very nicely.

The frustrating part is how close to being an extremely awesome figure he is, and how much the ridiculous backpack and flat chest take away from it. The chest I can forgive, but with how much care they took to have the backpack tab together, you Realize how much of a better job that could have done.

I haven't opened him yet. This is the one MP I'm ready to be disappointed in. My fear is that it is all a fancy work around so he could have those **** cartoon accurate legs.

But hey, I'm pretty easy to please, and pretty excepting of imperfections, if the end result is a fun action figure.

We'll find out tonight.

I was checking him out doing some Wheeljack/Bumblebee type crazy poses, and how IN THE WORLD is that backpack so intricate yet huge? It's almost his torso and a half. He could do inverted push-ups if that backpack wasn't there. He just looks so freaking amazing..when you can't see his backpack..
