Next up!
The Wife-o-tron and the Tronettes are heading to Grama and Grampa's for the weekend, and since I had a little time this morning, I hightailed it over to the TRU in Iowa across the river. I was hoping to find a few things to crack open and keep me entertained during my "Me Time" this weekend.

I made out pretty dang good if I do say so myself.

Got a lil spock to go with my lil Kirk.

I was always somewhat attracted to Nitro, and saw him a few times, but ultimately skipped him. So TC at 30% off was enough for me to dive in. I dig the looks of both modes, and love the interplay with TMs. The good news is I can swap out a cooler head, and honestly the bug-raisin head he comes with looks way better in person. Still gonna swap it out. :lol:

I have been eyeing the AT-AT since TRU bellied up. It finally dropped to a price I was willing to pay, so..... SCOOOOOOOOOP! Ima crack him open and play all weekend, but he is most likely going to come decorate the office. The co-workers will be stoked.

Well we'll start out with a little head swapping action, but I kinda new when I sat down to play exactly who he was gonna end up with.

Even with the difference in colors, I think this head looks and works great for this body, but that's still not it.

It's this guy!

Now the colors don't match up perfect, but there is something about the shape and the bulk of his head that works really well for me on this big bulky body. And besides, he's homeless. He doesn't have a body to call his own.

While I await the construction of my new Titan body, I have taken this mighty transtector to use to do as I see fit!

Really like SS Thundercracker. A great example of how even if I don't care for most movie stuff, there are still great toys to be had from that universe. TC has a great asymmetrical transformation that at first gave me fits, but now that I have it down, it's really gratifying. Glad I picked this one up, and really glad he comes with the option to be anybody you chose.

Very nice! Scorponok does work pretty well with him! Mine is occupying the space on the back of Trypticons head, but he wouldn't look so bad with TC, especially since Thunderwing is with Nitro Zeus!

And I think this is a brilliant mold. The A-symmetry, the bonkers fun transformation, and the satisfying robot and alt modes that are not finniky or picky or anything is great

Raideen is a true hero for the ages -- I just love the Egyptian pharaoh look. And wow, Scorponok on the Thindercracker/Zeus transtector looks great! It's like Scorpy got reformatted into a plane like the other Cons.

I might try and track down a thundercracker, he looks really fun. I also enjoyed the photo comic, if I knew you had the time I'd suggest doing more of them :lol:

As for the story, it's being published by a small publisher near where I live, as it was the end result of a tees Valley wide writing competition. I don't know what's going on about it getting a general release yet :-?

I know it's already available at the libraries.

In any case though it's going to be part of a short story collection i'm planning that the publisher already wants to talk to me about.

For me, I'd say Thunder cracker was a pleasant surprise. And like I said before, the bug head isn't as bad as I had thought. the photos I had seen just looked like a shriveled up raisin coated with boogers and scabs. Cary's pics were the first I saw that did it any justice.

I reset all this up after I had had a epic pew pew shoot-em-up battle.

The Hope Brigade

This AT-ACT is the AT-AT toy of my 9(looks up release date of TESB :shock:

) 6 year old dreams. It is crammed with awesome, well designed, and highly durable and functioning play features. The cargo box slides out of the torso and can be that little battle station. It has a cool zip line to connect the two, and a little rocket firing cannon that can can peg into many optional peg holes on the AT-AT itself or the Cargo box.
Then, it walks!!!! It can move it's head back and forth and up and down to aim either it's sound and light front mounted blaster cannons, or it's FOUR SHOT FULLY AUTOMATIC NERF DART LAUNCHER!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah! Fully automatic. Press the button for one shot, or hold to lay down 4 blasts automatically! SOOOOOOOOO DOPE!
The walking is really nice and every action you choose is accompanied by the appropriate sound FX.

The controls are buttons located on the rump, but even cooler. You can download an app that turns your smarty pants device into a Bluetooth remote. So you can crush the Rebellion from the comfort of your devan! :lol:

I'm gonna go ahead and say this is some of the best toy money I've spent in a long time, and I got what I consider a pretty dang solid deal on it.

Can you guys tell I'm excited for this thing? :lol:

Not long at all! Because I didn't swap out any of his accessories. :lol:

I pretty much have him the way I like him and that's how he'll stay. I get the PTSD. All that stuff stresses me out too. I still haven't even tried out ALL his accessories.
