Glad you like the humour, I just couldnt resist (sorry N). A question for you D-Man, do you think of moving in before popping the question? And do you think either of you need a steady job before things get steady? If you dont want to discuss it here, dont need to. But you got me curious and I am a romantic at heart. I only think with 2 organs and the brain aint one of them.
As a Christian myself, I think it has something to do with resisting the temptation of sex before marriage.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:I'm not catholic so I really don't understand all that.

D-Maximus_Primal wrote:We're both most likely headed for grad school and due to her being catholic, we cannot actually "live together" until we actually would get married. I'm not catholic so I really don't understand all that. And considering I'm an engineer, steady job isn't too big an issue, especially since grad schools for engineers pay for the schooling as well as a $15000-35000 stipend per year for going there and helping out the professor, so even in school I should be ok for a while. Besides, we also both know that just because we're engaged doesn't make it a rush for marriage, just means we are completely committed, and you guys probably know this very well, but there are times when you can just tell that this is the one, and for the past 3 years I've felt it.
Might just be a Catholic thing, then. My Dad used to be one (he's a Baptist now), and he said they have a lot of odd rules and such.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Autobot N wrote:As a Christian myself, I think it has something to do with resisting the temptation of sex before marriage.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:I'm not catholic so I really don't understand all that.
Oh I get that part, because that is my religion and my morals as well. Save for marriage. My thing was more you can live together and resist, cause we really do mean it, but something else is in play with her. something about having to go through pre-marriage counseling and we can't have ever lived together prior to that or something like that. I'm not really sure
william-james88 wrote:Sounds good, I like a man with a good head on his shouldersAnd I'm catholic. I didnt know about that rule though but funny enough I didnt live with my wife until I proposed. I dont think that happens too often though because when we went to the priest for the marriage papers, he was surprised that our legal adresses were different. he hadnt seen that in a loooooong time
So I guess that tradition isnt honoured too much here, but I honourd it unknowingly.
PS: Also, notice I said our "legal" adresses were different. Thats a church loophole you can tell your girlfriend. If your government papers still get sent to your parents, you can move in with her and God will just look the other way. Thats how it works, God is cool that way.

Cobotron wrote:D, do you have any comic book reference that these designs pull from? Are they War Within, or WoC. The alts are definitely some kind of pre-earth Cybertronian-ness.

Ah yeah, I can see that - good call!william-james88 wrote:Kinda like the Titanium toys that didnt have great alt modes.
The WfC Prime alt mode never quite looked right to me. Kinda has this weird 50's vibe going on. He's a beast of a toy to transform and is has a mad line backer bot mode. I'm quite fond of him, but I prefer the simpler FoC prime and that look better.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:I like these alt modes for the notsun brothers. And FoC Optimus to me had the better vehicle mode. I loved the stacks and how it looked like a rolling fist
carytheone wrote:Kinda how Bumblebigguns has been moved else where and replaced by the Gen Legends figure. Similar look and fits better with those tiny FoC figs. Grimlock, Prime and TeenyBeeny scale very well together.
