I fear it wouldn't last very long. He brings up the same points over and over again and then gets upset when I demolish them. When X stops posting the same crappy arguments I will have no reason to continue bulldozing them. As long as he keeps on sh!tting up the forum with his meaningless drivel, well...
The only thing you are bulldozing is your reputation. You don't even buy any of these figures. You come on this site for the sole purpose of trolling me into arguments. You are trying to goat me into saying something that will upset the mods. That is your passion. You are obsessed with me. Without me you have no purpose in life. I own you.
I will no longer be responding to your comments.
Now back to Combiners guys...

If I remember SDCC right, the official pictures were mislabeled, so Stormclash's alt was labeled as Skyburst's and vice-versa and since they're only subtly mirrored, nobody paid it much mind.
Delta Magnus wrote:I wonder what Takara will do with Victorion? I imagine the colours will be altered a little but I wonder if there will be any retooling?
Honestly, I'm just impressed that they managed to design a giant combiner weapon that when split into five components only has one dodgy piece. The helicopter twins' swords, the shield and Pyra Magna's warpick all look pretting bangin'.Delta Magnus wrote:(seriously, what the hell is up with Jumpstream's "weapon"?)

I didn't even see a difference between the alt modes so I just thought they had copied and pasted the same picture on the press release. Even here they look like the same picturesstill love to get this set

You really can't see how their robot and alt mode decos are mirrors of each other?
First up, the two car limbs are from the Breakdown and Dead End molds - no shared parts.bvzxa wrote:This is a cheap combiner. It's basically 3 molds, duplicated x2 for the deluxes. I want to like it but it needs further remolding.
Maybe Japan could take a shot at a slight modification very similar to what they did with Masterpiece Road Rage/Tracks

Secondly, Takara's Combiners have been more same-y than Hasbro's - changing from three jets and a 'copter and three cars and a pickup to four jets and four cars, respectively.

Thanks for clearing that up, but they look a like. Still the two helicopters look so much alike only minor paint markings separate the two.

Well, they are twins, not necessarily a new concept, but they couldn't make 'twin' combiners, except by making them the same mold, or utilizing some extreme remolding to two combiner limbs that look the same - not really possible (maybe dead-end and streetwise);
I like the idea, and it adds a certain symmetry to the combiner (assuming you pair them together, which many of us are likely to)
Apart from that, I feel this is an overdue return to the concept, the last 'familial' tf's I remember are o/p and magnus from rid'01
My point; you commented on mold reuse and suggested that Takara may add more variety - I presented the counterpoint that Takara is clearly less concerned about mold reuse and lack of variety within a combiner team than Hasbro is.bvzxa wrote:Ok, I fail to see your point comparing the two,
How so? Two unique limbs and two identical limbs with different heads. Again, that is more variety than Takara's release of Superion and equivalent to their release of Menasor. It feels strange to call Victorion the worst based on criteria in which it is clearly not the worst. Maybe the similar decos is what's bugging you?bvzxa wrote:as I simply stated the fact that Victorion combiner probably is the worst of all the Combiners for mold use.

I mean more the alt modes, the bot modes make it much more clear but when I look at the alt pics, it's harder for me to see the differences
