Indeed there were only two Tournies that were AWC vs RDD. The first one had no name, and included help from the Autobot higher ups, The Second one was Defection Wars. After that it was a full out war that everyone could play.

There's not even a ruddy commander...

i don't think they liked getting the thread locked, or the whole pirate thing, i know i didn't.

Plus the deletion (lost us 330 pages), the moving to a barren forum, so that only regulars ever go in, some of them getting banned (I stil don't know why for some), and I don't think the majority liked the movie, nor the movie n00bs it brought.

I don't quite understand the pirate thing. The day started with DM posting his Chibicron, and then we were pirates...
It lastet about 30 pages anyways.

It's hard to believe that any of you guys actually collected tfs. You seem to rarely venture out of HMW (though you have a bit mor recently I noticed), and I just couldn't imagine you talking to Saber Prime or such about toon characters.

You just seem too normal to fit in :P

Well I've decided to add a "campaign" section to my teams bio so that I have somewere to list tournament stuff. First entry:

April 2008 - "Echo's of the past". Participated in joint Decepticon-Predacon defensive action against Autobot and Maximal forces, in order to allow RDD Founder Jesus Prime time to search Catacomb of Tertius, in the ruins of Vos, for ancient artifact. A solid victory, with almost twice as many bot/max than con casualties.

that's a good point crazz i need to update my team bio to refelct this bit of HMW history, god knows it's been about 9 months since i added to it.

and dealer, we was in there along time ago before you had even joined we was grumbling about how we didn't need no stinking hasblo, but yeah since cybertron finished there's little that i really want, the only recently released figure i would like is ALT-mirage

and i remember when sabre prime was a noob(well at least a new noob), the abundance of peeps like him is the reason i don't really want to be go outside HMW or the PF

I actually get the impression that those that frequent those forums are like that away from the computer too.... :?
(The less said about the party forum the better)

Tam-- If you're after alt mirage, your best searchin tfw2005, seibs etc buy/sell/trade forums. They're a rare commodity on ebay, and prices are far generally far better on the boards (I paid £25 shipped from another Brit).

I wish I'd gotten into the forums before.
My first account (lost to time it was) was made when I was just under the age barrier. I stuck to playing HMW, and never entered the forums.
I stopped playing and, many years later, made an account under Lord Crump. And here I am.

Just the thought of all that stuff I missed out on, because I sat in HMW clicking buttons...

I tell you another problem with the ODB, it moves so quickly. If you dont check it at least once a day EVERYDAY, you get completly lost. And now it is out of the day, a lot of people dont check it enough to enjoy it anymore.

Anyway, Long after I joined HMW, but long before I really ventured (regularly) into HMW GD (and RDD and Darkmount) I was a reasonably well known regular on the toy forum, for verious reasons I have drifted away from there now, it's enough for me to look at the news posts these days.

Here's a question, can we start an ODB thread in HMW GD? Make up some silly excuse like we wana cordinate our efforts in missions?

You're in it, oh Captain Observant.

Id make a pretence of throwing a HMW link in for you but theres **** all bots online at the moment, so they're all just missions to the €-pub anyway.

Just change the name to something ODB related, and say it's for future British effort coordination.

Or yeah, start a thread in HMW GD. Worst comes to worst, Mkall or such lock it.

But really, don't only Mkall and Caelus really check in there on a regular basis? I dare say the thread should be just fine in there.

On a less relevant note, there were 3 new pages today in the old ODB thread. It's really moving again. I remember when you were lucky to get 5 new posts a day.

I heard it stands for Bronze Swimming Certificate......

It was odd to see all the old ODB members suddenly vanish. At least HC and Red stuck around longer.

Red's an old ODB member? I remember when he was the new kid on the block in the ODB.

*sigh*

Oh for the good old days...

I remember when the ODB was started, it was back in the days when TF:armada was ending and TF:energon was dribbling slowly onto the British toy shelves. The biggest concern at the time was that 20th anni Prime wasn't available over here in 2004, the 20th anniversary year. Of course it turned out OK in the end because most of us bought Takara's superior version anyway. Hasbro finally got their act together and announced in January 2006 the question they had been asked for the last two years. They stated that there were NO plans to release 20th Prime here at all. TRU announced they would be stocking him 2 weeks later...

Oh and the old thread didn't get locked, it was deleted along with the rest of the forums here because of the latest whoops. The thread that's there now rather rudely got started by a n00b who did so without giving one of the old guard a chance.
It all went downhill from there are most of those old guard departed to more spamtastic sites set up by former seibs staff members... Not really suprising since of the old ODB crew included 3 former staff members.

Anyway a new ODB thead? Sure why not.
