Ok, T-crack and Skywarp - awesome. But another large figure like Metroplex, when there are more deserving figures out their just seems like a waste. Takara will make loads of money off those big figures.

Metroplex's Battle mode is very intrestingly mistransformed. I gotta try that with the tower on his back.
OH, and HAHA, take that to the KO companies and their suporters!
Now with this in mind, I recall an argument awile back saying Takara would never due a Devistator reissue because of the various KOs out there. Well if this doesn't put a dent in that argument, I don't know what will?

there are a fair few ko metroplex's out there aint there lol. I should know, i have an origional one, and a KO (and to be fair, there is very little to no difference). Saying that, im gonna have to buy the new reissue as well lol

I was hours away from ordering a C8 G1 Metroplex from Transformerland.com...and now THIS. The encore line is single-handedly giving me all the G1 TFs I've never had the chance to buy before!

I can actualy sypathize with that. I got 2 vintage Omegas figuring he'd never come back and look what happened. Add the sheer rarity of MetroTitan to that and ouch!!!!!!
I'm all for non-KO reissues. I love the fact that so many fans are getting a second chance at ownership and newer fans are getting to see these intial bots and understand the roots of why we love these things so much
But something vintage, that's very rare, that you struggled to find and payed a fortune for...
Well, bragging rights aren't deminished, if anything, you get a whole new clip of "OH YEAH..." to fire off!
Just on a personal level, I know how it just kinda lessens the figure in your case to you, cause now everyones got it.
Lots of figures have gone that way, take the shine that left MP StarScream as soon as you picked up your G1 colored version...

This should take some of the interest in the KO Metroplex. Interesting that both of them are fairly close in price too. I'm going to pass on these. I have a fairly mint (missing stickers, but complete) original Metroplex on my desk at home and original Thundercracker and Skywarp in storage.

Why can't they make an encore reissue of Fortress Maximus?? .... I mean c'mon $1,200.00 for an original on Ebay is CRAZY!!!! I much rather pay a couple hundred for a (non knock-off) reissue.

It probably is not outside of the realm of possibility now. Although I want to see Grand Maximus, I mean why not throw all the crazy stuff he came with together in one great re-issue.
And then I can also see the point of people wanting that one to stay a rarity.
And I am sure the Stepper owners through a bit of a fit, as well as, Soundblaster, and Twincast owners, when they were announced. And from all of those I benefited because I did not own them yet. It's just hard, now I wish I would have kept Metrotitan MISB..must invent a time machine now.

That's where I bought mine. The ones in stock now are technically a higher grade than the one I bought.
Also, here's a point of speculation -
Will the reissue have rubber tires and chrome or just plastic?

Chrome and rubber.
Takara has not once skimped out on a reissue with the cheaper arangement.
Kup had metal feet, Predaking was metal, etc.
