Tsutsukakushi wrote:Suspect FP Sludge might be a scale bigger than Swoop, Slag and Snarl.
FP Sludge definately looks like a Ultra scaled toy in that comparisons pic with HasTak MP Grimlock.

Consider your suspicions debunked; daimchoc posted this image on facebook.
Gotta say I'm really disappointed. There's no way Slag should be bigger than Sludge.
At this rate I'm probably going to end up getting one Dinobot from each company in order to achieve my ideal line-up. So far Planet X and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Age of Extinction have the best scaled figures as far as I'm concerned. A pity they're both a little smaller than I'd have liked.

I don't see the point in spending any money on ridiculously huge Dinobots that are out of scale with anything else I have and super expensive to boot. I want toys that I want, not necessarily those which are the best value per ounce/inch.

The FP MP Dinobots are in scale with all of the HasTak and 3rd party MP TF toys. They scale nicely with MP Grimlock.

Meant to type, FT, not FP.
Rated X wrote:Actually Fanstoys Scoria is not in scale with MP Grimlock. I don't count those stupid moon boots. That's what stopped me from buying Scoria. I use MP Grimlock in dinosaur mode for my classics shelf to replicate the season 1 cartoon where the dinobots were huge. But the moon boots lost my sale sorry Fanstoys. If they had just scaled Scoria and the others to match the height of MP Grimlock I would have been on board. I have no interest in my dinobots scaling properly with an MP Prime that I don't even own. as far as Im concerned, Fansproject saved the day !![]()

I think for your preferences that FansProject is the better line for you, but I am LOVING my Scoria and am anxious about Swoop in the near future. I'd like to get FP's dinobots as well for Classics (because I collect both MP and Classics), but time and priorities will tell.

I would double dip if it wasnt for the stupid moon boots. Be honest, wouldnt you have rather had them scale with MP Grimlock ? The "add an inch and give grimmy moon boots" concept was just a lame pitch to make everybody will buy their Grimlock down the line. X dont play that lol.

You're right, I would prefer that Scoria was better scaled to the existing MP-08 mold. And even with the moon boots, Grimlock's proportions aren't as generous as Scoria. I guess I'll have to wait it out to see if FT makes their own version of Grimmy, but I'll accept what I have for now.
It's a shame that FP is only doing the chrome on the exclusive version of their figure. I'm NOT about to double dip for that.
im in the same boat. the chromed one is sickly beautiful. but id really like to know if the rest will follow suit. the normal production one looks pretty good too but id need to see better in hand pics.Gauntlet101010 wrote:I thought long and hard about getting the chrome version the other day. I like it. A LOT. But they couldn't tell me what the plans was for the other five chromed Dinobots and I do not want it to be up in the air. All five need to match and I don't want to be stuck paying absurd prices on them because I bought the exclusive once.
The non chromed version looks really good. Even the flat gold is nice and vibrant.
hasbro didnt fail. they just stopped at grimlock.bvzxa wrote:Well Hasbro you had the chance to give us Classics-style Dinobots and you failed.
