The paint scheme on Dead End is awesome, but I wouldn't be surprised if that isn;t what we get on the final product.

I'm in agreement with the majority here.

Deadend's alt mode is pretty freaking sweet, but I wish his bot mode fit more in line with the 2 we already have.

Dragstrip is just not working for me at all. I see where they were going with the alt mode, and I could probably get into it if the bot mode looked cool, but it doesn't.

69 pages and still no Motormaster robot mode. FP needs a new marketing strategy. This project is loosing so much attention to Feral Rex.

Agreed it is odd. And yes, their marketing is a bit strange - for instance pre-ordering Chromedome without any pics first.

I know I'm playing with fire when I say this, but it's not FansProject's fault this thread has become bloated with us banging on about the size of these figures. :P

Actually Fansproject is playing with fire and it's called passing the torch. Which 3rd party company holds the torch now is subject to opinion. TFC, Toyworld, and MMC are all in their prime while Fansproject is fighting to keep the title they once held as the best 3rd party company.

I agree with this.

The last several things I've gotten from FP, pretty much since the Insecticons, haven't really WOWed me. Things have been nice, but everything has enough flaws that I don't feel like Ive gotten the bang for the buck.

Whereas I've been blown away by the detailing on the Knight Morper line, and Herc is the centerpiece of my Classics Decepticon collection.

Motormaster is the make or break figure in this set for me.
From the leaked shots, I think I'm going to like him, but we'll see.

just got my car crash and T-Bone in this weekend. they look great but transformation is horrible. My fingers hurts after transforming them once. also the heel's are horrible and incredibly hard to transform. does anyone have any advice on these? I feel like I will break it after a few transformations. I had to pop it off the ball joint to get them to open. not fun at all..

The feet do take getting used to, that's for sure. You have to push upwards and it'll come apart naturally.

I gotta agree with X here. FP's still awesome, but now that coveted "first place" is really up for grabs. Too many other 3rd party companies have upped their game. And I can't say that their reliance on faith-buying impresses me. I suppose it works since I'm on board for Menasor, but buying toys shouldn't be a religious experience. It should be show and tell. They used to be good at that too.

Oh yea about FP not being the top dog anymore. I must say I agree. I feel like everyone have definitely caught up. Also can't say I like their plastic either (besides broadside). TFC Herc Plastic and Mech Idea's plastics feel much better. And those tabs are so annoying! my fingers shouldn't have dents in them after transforming your toys!

If you slide the heel along the toe slightly, it helps them come apart going into bot mode. Let's see if I can grab a pic later so show this. I too struggled until I stumbled on this tidbit.

My problem is getting the legs together in car mode. It's almost magic how they come together...

That would be very helpful! thanks! I feel like I was stretching and reshaping the plastic when I was trying to transform that part.

Yes somebody please do a video on how to open up the feet when transforming from car to robot. I had so much trouble with Breakdown that I didn't even bother transforming Wildrider into car mode.

Okay, let's see if these work for you. I threw it together, so not the best sound or lighting, but I think you can see how I am transforming the feet. (Also, don't mind my typical Minnesotan long "o" :D )

Car Crash

And T-Bone, just for good measure.

[Edit] I made the mistake to have YouTube "fix" the shakiness. It made the video worse. Sorry about that, and it should be better soon.

Wildrider's all around easier than Breakdown. He is definitely the second attempt.

As I sit here, waiting for my Fansproject Chromedome to get here from an eBay seller in China, I check on the preorders for Brainstorm and Weirdwolf and it hits me. The reason we don't have preorders for the next two Stunticons is that their hopscotching between the two lines rather than put out too many products at once. Chromedome, then Breakdown and Wildrider, then Brainstorm and Weirdwolf, after that the next two Stunticons, more Headmasters, and so on and so forth. That's why no preorders for the others and no pics of Motormaster: he's still 6+ months off, they don't have anything other than prototypes yet.

Still, I wish they'd give us something on purpose.

I can only hope that, if they're at TFCon this year, someone has the guts to ask them why their communication sucks so much when compared to some other groups.

Their communication wouldn't be so bad if it was just a lone figure, but the fact that it's a whole set makes it terrible. This is a 5 figure set we're investing in .... and they're asking us to do it blindly! Can't they see this is a terrible idea?

And the fact that they COULD give us info, but choose not to, is allt he more galling.

I haven't registered at FP Core ... has the issue of communication been brought up there?

Well, we're not entirely in the dark on this. We do know for a fact what all four limbs look like. We've seen them in both finished production pieces and protos. It's Motormaster that's holding us back completely, but we definitely have an idea of what we're getting into.

As for FansProjectCore, that's actually a reseller, not FP themselves. It's owned by Ages 3 & Up. Think HTS selling Hasbro products. Carry the name and logos, but separate entity. FPC won't do you any good in asking questions.

I doubt FPC has absolutely nobody from FOP looking in on it. It's one thing to be just a retailer, but it's quite another to say that there's absolutely no communication between the two. Obviously FPC has access to their prototypes and is told about upcoming releases (they were the ones at TFCon last year, not FP proper).

And it's true that we have some pictures of the bots .... now. After preorders have already begun. But without seeing Motormaster in bot mode it's still faith buying. We are buying this for the SET, not the individuals. And they could give us a greater idea of what we're buying in the SET.
