Don't misunderstand me, I have no desire to see another Bumblebee on the pegs either. But it'd really surprise me if the money spinners at Hasbro don't push to turn our toy aisles yellow.

Thinking about pre-ordering the case of 3 set, can anybody tell me if its worth it to upgrade to collectors grade for 6.00 dollars more? or is standard grade just as fine... 47.99 vs 53.99

Haha. No, no, don't worry. I think its a given most people would be happy to see Bee vanish (or at least have the number of representations significantly cut), but, as you said, Hasbro is milking him for all he's worth.

We'll jsut have to wait and see what they do with the little bugger.

In my experience with BBTS the "collectors" thing is kind of a touch and go joke. The upgrade just means they make sure you get near-mint box, but usually you get one anyway. They pack really well too (dunno if you've ordered from them before). Only once did they send me a figure (FE Cliffjumper no less) with enough packing tape wrapped around his box (yes, the box itself) to keep the Titanic afloat. FE Bulkhead, who was in the same shipment was pristine however, so go figure. That's the only time they sent me something that was just dumb. Otherwise everything has arrived in good shape.

If you ask me, we can expect repaints of Bumblebee and Megatron further down the line. Unless Bumblebee gets killed off that is...

I wouldn't object to him being there, just don't overpack him....

It's actually a positive thing that he's not in the first wave!

I agree, everyone would be complaining if it was a duplicate from WFC. In car mode he kinda looks like War Within Prime. I would know cause I have that version of Prime plus 63 other versions of Prime.

I'm both pissed and relieved. Why? Because I can't preorder Shockwave by himself at the moment and I can use my twenty bucks on my best friend when I see her tomorrow.

Does anyone have an idea as to approximately when these will realistically be at retail? I pre-ordered them at BBTS, but would def be willing to go hunting if I had a better idea as to what portion of May they will hit the toy aisles.

Sounds about right. Sometimes BBTS gets their's in before retail sightings, other times it seems to be the same, and once in a blue moon, you'll hear of retail sightings before they get their's in.

I'm guessing late May, early June before they hit the east coast. Closer to July for full saturation.

Have you never shopped there before? Aside from clearance sales, everything at BBTS is priced higher than retail. You're paying for the convenience of preordering.

I have shopped there PLENTY of times. Usually there is a small price break of a dollar per figure when you get a set of 2 or more. I realize its more than retail and the reason why and Im cool with that, because like I said i avoid hunting hassles.
