Wisdoman wrote:Two protips here, one with instant gratification, both with long-term benefits.
1. The Rich Achievement. Complete a side-quest for Dr. Michel (The doctor lady who you saved when you met Garrus) and she'll give you a discount on items. Some bug causes this to also make her buy items from you at an increased price. So, sell your most expensive stuff to her, then go to a shop somewhere else on the Citidel and use the "Buyback" option to buy back the last ten or so items at less than what you sold them for. Lather, rinse, occasionally buy more expensive items to throw into the mix, and repeat, until you get the 1,000,000 credits for the achievement. Boring and tedious, but it unlocks the second-nicest weapon set in the game (Which, with your million credits, you can buy the whole set) with the absolute best unlocked at level 50. Also, it'll give you a lovely jump-start on credits and resources in ME2.
2. Any time you kill an enemy while in the Mako, it cuts experience gains in half. Impossible to get to the level cap and subsequent bonuses in ME2 with it. So either get out and finish your enemies off manually, or edit a bit of game code to just leave out the experience cut.
Thanks, man. Do you remember which Side Quest I'm supposed to do for the lovely doctor before getting that sweet sweet bonus of hers?

As far as I know, she only has the one. Something about getting some thugs to stop stealing her medical supplies.
Oh, and just so you don't check every store confused, the Spectre Master gear, once unlocked, can only be bought from the Requisition Officers at C-Sec Academy or the Normandy.

BEATEN! 47 died, but then 47 didn't die and then 47 killed a lot of people who saw him un-die. Now, one could assume this was to cover up his own resurrection by silencing all who witnessed it, but then when the authorities see his corpse is missing and everyone was killed by rounds from his signature pistols, they are going to figure things out.
Hitman: Absolution may cover that.

Ok, skipped 017: Bang! and cleared these levels:
018: Quicky!
019: Crazy Harry
Both levels were fun in their own way. In 018: Quicky! I had to reach the exit quickly before it's blown up (it's *really* quick), and 019: Crazy Harry is aptly named after the Muppet. You guessed it, I have to use bombs in the shape of 3 1/2" floppy disks (who uses those nowadays?) to blast away walls, without destroying infotrons at the same time. Harder than it sounds. I certainly would not recommend sliding those explosive disks into any computer
Now I'm in the frustrating 020: Minotaurus! Yep, it's a maze... full of random(?) moving Snik-snaks. *sigh* Let's get on with it.

Misunderstood the level requirements of the current "make a new character and level him or her up" event. Got my new character to Level 72, had him reborn, started back at Level 1 with better base stats and more powerful Skills. Currently at Level 25. Next time, I'll finish Episode 2 and start kicking ass in Episode 3.

Did that mission for the good doctor, only the credit scam glitch doesn't seem to be working. Maybe they've since fixed it?
Unreal Tournament 3 Black Edition [PC]:
Cleared Chapter II of the campaign in co-op with a friend. Working on the weapon achievements on my own, in order of their weapon slot numbers. Got the Hammer one, got the Enforcer one, currently doing the Bio-Rifle one. The Weapon Replacement mutator is real handy.
Borderlands [PC]:
Took Flynt out by boomsticking him off the level. Sledge's Shotgun is god-tier.
Now, off to save Delicious Pattie. For science.
Lunia [PC]:
Working on my alternate character for this month's "Make a New Dude & Level The Eff Up" event. Currently at Level 44, Rebirth 1, for a Combined Level of 116. Need to reach 140 to get the best-tier reward items. Won't be hard.

Sledge's Shotgun is massively popular. it was my favorite weapon in my first playthrough, at least until I picked up something nicer a looooooooong time after I fought Sledge.

That's the mistake! You aren't supposed to buyback from her, you're supposed to buyback from another shop. If you sell a shotgun to one store, you can buy it back at another store for the price you sold it at, you see. It's all video game magic. But the way this glitch works is that other stores don't realize you sold it at a higher price, so the buyback price is lowered, so you're re-buying an item for less than you sold it for.
Oh hey...that guide I used didn't vanish. How odd.

Finally, after many countless deaths I passed the maze level 020: Minotaurus! OK, that probably sounded like an RPG adventure, but trust me, it's not. Now I'm at another puzzle level called 021: Gravity. This is where a unique feature kicks in: gravity. Like the objects, now I'm affected by gravity as well, so I drop down wherever possible. And the only way to defy it is to eat my way up. I stop eating, I start dropping. Fun fun.

What the hell just happened!? I was fighting the end boss on like my 24th playthrough and I only hit him a few times, then the cinematic appeared, indicating that I beat him! WTF!? I barely hit the thing like 2 times and won. Awesome. I'm not complaining. Maybe because I took so much time with this playthrough the game told me to just stop. Well, that was the easiest final boss evar. I'm awesome for killing a reaper in just 2 shots. I am awesome. That's a new record!!!

BTW, wool is a pain to collect dyes for. I had to use an xray texture just so I could locate squids underwater and I only had enough red dye for this due to that crash that doubled my inventory not too long ago.
Still, results worth it.

X-ray texture? Just press F3, it'll be easier to see creatures that way, since they'll have the tag over them. Or, assuming you're playing single-player, spawn the items yourself, because the blue dye is rarer than Diamonds. Not even exaggerating.
