Mass Effect:
BEATEN! Charmed Saren into offing himself, thus saving me precious bullets...only to have him brought back by the Evil Robot Spaceship as some kind of psionic Zombie. So I killed that. Good news: the Evil Robot Spaceship is dead, and humanity gets a seat on the galactic Council. Bad news: Plenty more Evil Robot Spaceships are out there waiting to exterminate all organic life in Mass Effect 2.

Now to do everything I just did as a lady...

Rule 63, my friend... :SMUG:

The Godfather [PC]:
Tom wants me to go to the Corleone compound, but I'm not going there until all of Little Italy is once again under Corleone control! I think I've reached Level 11, and I'll probably be at 12 or 13 by the time I'm done taking over businesses and rackets.

Still not sure how I'm going to take down the Tattaglia warehouse near that hotel on the edge of town. I never managed to take down a warehouse. I guess if I level a bunch of times and use all my skill points wisely, I might stand a chance.

Bought one of the hotels near the highway out of the borough. Only cost 15 grand. Not bad for a safehouse filled with weapons. Plus, it's right next door to a room occupied by two Madames. Flirting with them earns me a nice 75 Respect (Experience points).

I'd argue with that, but then I think I remember seeing a picture of the TF2 cast as women...lady Heavy...*shudders*

Mass Effect:
Now I'm a lady! While I made the Man Shepherd a weapons specialist, I instead made lady Shepherd "Vanguard" that is, she's equal parts weapon specialist and Biotics specialist. Sad thing is, while she has little experience with assault rifles, she can still use one to take out a Geth Trooper from a ridiculous distance...why are those guys so easy to kill?

But then again, most of them were at least somewhat giggity. Well, depending on which version you saw.

The Godfather [PC]:
Did a lot of running around the last few days. I didn't do ANY missions. Instead, I focused exclusively on Businesses, Rackets, and today, I stepped up to Warehouses. ALL of Little Italy now belongs to the Corleones, or should I say "All your Little Italy are belong to us."

I got MASSIVE Respect [which is Experience] bonuses. So much so that I even skipped Levels entirely. +20,000 for taking a Warehouse, +50,000 for taking over all of Little Italy... I'm only a Rank of Outsider, but I'm already at Level 19 and have just under $100,000. Megawesome.

Okay, now it's time to go to the freakin' compound and see Tom. He must be pissed at me, since I kept him waiting for over a month of in-game time.

Final Fantasy X:
Ran a couple of side missions, netting me Yojimbo, though I couldn't get myself to care enough for Anima or the Magus Sisters. Broke off both of Sins arms, as well as killing a Sinspawn and another growth on his head. He did not like that. So he grew a pair of wings so we could have our Ultimate Showdown. I intend on breaking off his face next.

And that is exactly what I did. Entered a the obligatory bizarre world inside of giant monster, where I fought Seymour. My final words to him were, I think, appropriate: "And stay down!" Before this, I went back and got Auron's final limit, getting some insights into Jecht's adventures with Auron and Braska, including Jecht waking up drunk in a jail cell, giving up drinking after causing property damage, and then getting struck by lightning in what was probably the first YouTube viral video.

Got the game and tried to install it. Install failed citing cyclic redundancy check error. Tried again and failed again. Got pissed and copied the DVD to my hard drive to run a local install. copying failed. Took disc to alternate computer to copy files down. took 20 minutes. copied files to external hard drive, took 20 minutes. copied files from hard drive to my computer, took 10 minutes. ran install, no fail but still took 10 minutes. then auto-downloaded patch which added more time.
Finally managed to play the game, then had to go to bed.
2 hours of intended playtime and I only had time to get through the tutorial. :-x
At least that trauma's over. and the game looks damn sweet on my PC.

I should also raise my hands in the air, smile, and yell "PROMOTIONS!" because I got promoted, twice. Look out, Rival Families, the Corleones are here to stay.

But I'm willing to bet that you forgot the cannolis!

Final Fantasy X:
So very close to then end. It doesn't help, though, that the fiends in random encounters would have counted as bosses not long ago.

Final Fantasy VI: Advance:
Doing this next, but I figured I'd get a head start. Not very far, I only just made it to Figaro Castle, I haven't even spoken to Edgar yet, since I'm grinding with Terra (giggity) and Locke (less giggity) first.

They're probably still in the car... Clamenza's wife's gonna be pissed!

The Godfather [PC]:
Been visiting my good friends the Black Market merchants. How many games have Black Markets? Not enough. Heck, in the Black Market of Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, you can trade weapons, artifacts, even organs! In The Godfather, it's unfortunately just weapons and medication.

Bought the Level 2 Pistol (hi-cap mags FTW) and the Level 3 .38, a gold-plated beauty with an ivory grip and a mermaid drawn on it. It's called the Saturday Night Special, and it is BADASS. The Level 2 Pistol is nice too, it's black and looks like a beast, but it's out of my price range. And don't get me started on the $450,000 Street Sweeper Level 3 Shotgun, which is so shady that it's sold by guy in the sewers...

Drift City [PC]:
Did some Repeatable Quests with a friend. Got some useless but fun items that replace your car's model by that of an NPC. We raced garbage trucks and family sedans.

Bought a Coupon for the Arena at Auction, as I really don't feel like doing the 1,544 races it'll take me to earn it. Besides, I still have enough to buy the car when I reach Level 71.

It'd seem like you could just beat the hell out of him and take it. I mean, with everything else that goes on, it'd still be a slightly more moral act than pretty much everything else.

Final Fantasy VI: Advance:
Met up with Edgar, he had Figaro Castle literally dig into the ground to avoid the Empire, including everyone's favorite combination of the Joker and Dr. Strange, Kefka.

Met up with Sabin, Edgar's twin, and beat the hell out of Vargas. Grinding helps! Now onto the Returner's Hideout...

I'd have to agree. Or at very least, after you buy it, you could point your gun at the guy and demand your money back. Oh well...

"I'll give you $450,000 for that nice street sweeper."
"Sold! Here you go, my good sir."
"Ah, this is nice. Also, THIS IS A STICK UP!"

And you gotta wonder...this is 1940's money we're talking about. $450,000 is more money than most people even saw, having a half a million in the bank granted you nearly God-like status.

Final Fantasy VI: Advance
As Locke, met up with the ever-lovely Celes, and escaped South Figaro through the caves. Now, as Sabin, I've met up with the not-so-lovely Shadow, and heading for Doma Castle. I expect there will be nothing but good times and happy memories, and...wait...Kefka does WHAT to the water?!

After being sent to Damascus, cleared every side mission and rescue I could find before performing the first assassination mission.
I'm enjoying the game but I think the PC controls need a little work. For example, free sprint/run involves holding the right mouse button while holding space and pushing the direction keys. :?

That's essentially what it was on PS3; hold R1, X, and hold the left stick forward. Still the game didn't really suffer from it...except in one mission where you have to cross some docks, except Altair preferred to jump to objects that weren't there.

Skullgrin140 wrote:Now I might start Rouge Trooper.

I actually really liked Rogue Trooper. If only there were more third-person shooters like it.

Final Fantasy VI Advance:
Blazed through the Imperial Camp. Met up with Cyan, who, after seeing everyone he ever knew or loved poisoned to death, was more than happy to start beating the Empire out of revenge. Hooray, we made a friend!

I know, eh? Who does this joker thing he is? Do Black Market people respawn after you beat them up? If so, I'm throwing this guy off a ledge for being a smartass.

The Godfather [PC]:
Systematic Takeover of Brooklyn Log, Day 1:
Most of the Businesses are now under Corleone control. I have one more Tattaglia restaurant to grab, and then the Warehouses. Sorry, Monk, that beer at the Perch will have to wait.

2 assassinations down. Took a trip to acre to track down the local doctor. After 2 hours of 'faffing about' (as Yahtzee put it), tracked down the doctor and repealed his license... so to speak. The assassination would have gone smoothly had a leper not shoved me into the good doctor, thus alerting him to my presence and turning a quick stab-and-run into a massive sword battle. Grr...
BTW, does anyone feel that I'm not within my rights to use my assassination skills on beggar women that won't leave me alone?

Well, she IS innocent. No crime against hassling people for money. Now, if she tried to rob you, yeah, shank her like an inmate.

Final Fantasy VI Advance:
Defended Narshe, but Terra went all pink and psycho and flew off. Chased her to Zozo, where Ramuh, having calmed down after being rejected from the Light Warriors (A million points to whoever gets that reference), turned himself and his friends into Magicite, which we can now use as Summons. Now, we're heading to the main villains location, the high-tech city of Midgar! No, wait, I mean Vector. Strange how I got those two confused.

All of emmeffing Brooklyn is mine. Man, that boat warehouse was a bitch. I got an experience bonus of 100,000. That's so much experience that I skipped an entire Level!

Currently dicking around in Midtown. I figure I'll take it and then do my hit, which will bring me to Hell's Kitchen, and I might as well take that sector over, too.

Did the Opera. The whole thing lasts maybe fifteen minutes, but it's an awesome fifteen minutes. Teamed up with Setzer, and now I get to go to Vector and stop Shinra from firing the Sister Ray...see, there I go again.

Completed the area 69 arena. Lots of aliens and stormtrooper-looking soldiers around but there were lots of alien tech deathtraps to toss them into. The bosses were a pair of telekinetic brothers who liked to throw stuff at me. Of course, a chainsaw in the back to one so I could indirectly control his powers while he accidentally lifted the other was a plus, especially when I could use his telekinetic powers to slam his brother into a pasty pulp on the walls. Good times.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.

Taking over Midtown. So many damn Barzinis, though. And they have a lot of their longcoats, too (not to be confused with Longcats). Bought the Level 2 Tommy Gun as it's damn important (double ammo capacity, double ammo drum size).

I mean, to take one of their heavily defended joints, I first have to use a car to kill all the goons in the street, then waste all the suckers inside hoping they don't kill me or the shopkeeper in the crossfire. And the close-quarters combat inside the hotels is very rough. Shotgun blasts to the face from short range really hurts.
