What about a name?? It's still showing as SRK-02... Usually don't care about the 'new names' much, I'll always call them Sludge and Snarl (and Slag... to heck with Slug), but SRK-01 got the Thunderous tagline... I'm surprised there hasn't been any updates to the listing for SRK-02?

Did 'Thuderous' have his name before he was actually released?

Swoop looks pretty good...aside from his dino mode. WTF went wrong there?

I like the dino mode quite a bit... His robot head may be a little small though... doesn't look very proportional with his shoulders....

Now I'm extra curious if those hands are going to be integrated with the rest of the bot... or if it's add on kibble like the feet are? KINDA looks like it's integrated somehow.

i think the neck in dino mode is what's throwing it off a bit. g1 swoop didn't have a neck to speak of. the long neck makes him look more lanky and less beefy. he looks very nice overall but i do kinda hope that neck can collapse down somehow.

Watched Skullface's review on their not-Grimlock.

I have to say, I'm not hugely impressed. Aesthetically he's good for sure, but functionally he's a mess. Between that colossal hunk of junk pretending to be a "shield" that forms most of the combiner torso mode, the hugely finicky transformation, the QC issues and the fact he has to partsform going between robot and dino modes...no.

What I really don't get is why GCreations and ToyWorld decided to create arguably the most G1-accurate 3P CHUG scale Dinobots, and then throw in the combining gimmick resulting in a mess of partsforming and compromises. Either keep the combiner gimmick and take liberties with the designs to get a better end product, or keep the G1 accuracy and ditch the combiner gimmick.

I would like to see someone else have a stab at a Dinobot combiner, though. If any 3Ps are reading this, if you're going to do a Dinobot combiner then for Primus' sake don't try and make them hyper-G1 accurate. The G1 Dinobot designs just don't work as combiner parts.

That's disappointing to hear.

I'm still waiting for my snarl and grimlock to show up, but Sludge is awesome. Handles all three modes perfectly.

Gotta admit, for a while there I regretted my choice of Toyworld's Dinobots. This Swoop definitely looks better to me than Toyworld's. But the entire chest and waist being a separate piece really turns me off on Shuraking. Although that Swoop is so, SO much better looking.

Edit: Actually, I take it back. Messed with Toyworld's Beast a bit and, yeah ... it's a real pain to do much with. Bits just fall off left, right, and centre. SK's chest shield is a pretty large compromise, but TW's Swoop is a disaster in beast mode.

I dunno. I like what I got, but SK probably did it better. Just overall.

So, have there been any pictures floating around of their Slag yet? He's the last to be shown off it looks like :DANCE:

and as my only original Dinobot, i'm VERY curious how he turns out!!!

(I DID have Sludge for a while... but I didn't like him much. he was a pain in the but to transform and ended up trading him away. Slag however I kept for years!!)

Personally, I don't care that there are extra parts. I don't care if they partsform. Yes, the set has flaws. But I still want this thing so much!
