The hands aren't loose as near as I can figure there made of rubber now so they will mold to the gun and hold it better. although as far as I can tell it isn't working very well another great idea brought to you by hasbro

I was only able to get the Thunderhawk, Condor and the T-bob pack, I wish they had survived better, but kenner didn't put the best materials in them for longevity.

If they were to do more within the Joe line i would love to see an update on the Jackhammer. If done in the same black plastic as a HISS it could look awesome.

He should not be. His outfit and helmet is a direct updating of his original jump suit (apparently using an Ace figure for most of him) and Spectrum Mask, released with the Thunderhawk Camero.

As for his helipack, with the size, style, and colour it should just be a backpack converted from a Condor (motercycle/chopper) unit.

There was a single figure mission pack with a helipack in the second year, but that was packed with Bruce Sato, with the Grasshopper Mask and wasn't as stylized as the one released with Trakker.

The body may be Ace but his arms have to be Hawk's since they can't even bend close to 90 degrees.

Here is what yojoe.com said about how matt tracker was constructed: Specialist Trakker was created using the entire body of Capt Ace (2008) with new arms and a new head.

Wow. So someone at Hasbro thought that Hawks arms were such a good idea that they had to make a new set the same way for Trakker? What were they thinking?

LOL. That reminds me since I had a snow day today I was able to watch Pyramid of Darkness on DVD. Does anyone have the lyrics to "The Cobra That Got Away?" Maybe the chords? The image of Snake Eyes getting down with his bad self has stayed with me over the years. I'm also looking for a chance to do the Alpine Yodel first chance I get.

I was wondering if anyone knew how the attack on cobra island sets are supposed work how many figures in a pack and any other info that people have gathered and are these the ones that are supposed to include dr. Mind bender.

@ Chuck; The new Cobra five pack; the viper troop builder pack hasn't hit shelves yet and will according to the images use the old 25th viper mold.

@ Shortround: From what I've heard they will be online exclusives like the extream enviroment packs, but no confirmation on that yet. They will have seven figures to a pack and yes the Cobra pack will include Mindbender.

I have it and you're right the new Viper looks good. I think if you go back a page or two someone gives a great review of both sets.

Got the cobra F.a.n.g. and C.l.a.w. set today. I forgot how sweet the fang really is for a gyrocopter, the only thing that wish they had kept from the old toy is color of missiles and the machine gun on the front of vehicle. The other think I picked up today was the first issue of g.i. joe origins and g.i. joe issue 0 going to pick issue 1 and 2 on friday if you haven't gotten any of the new idw g.i. joe comics I recommend going out a picking them up.

I have one question about the F.A.N.G. who at hasbro thought it was a good idea to strap a bomb to the bottom of the F.A.N.G. wouldn't joe ground troops target that right off the bat.

Well, to be fair, most of the vehicles have exposed missles/bombs/gas tanks/etc., so I guess it's assumed they're bulletproof. ...maybe. :lol:

The bomb is dangerous, but I think the FANG is a deathtrap to begin with. They might as well have the bomb since they could just as easily get shot without it.

I got the RAM vs. Flight pod and Serpentor's chariot vs. Armadillo today. I really enjoyed all of these, especially the RAM.

I also noticed if you switch some parts on the Tele-Viper with the single carded Viper, you have a pretty accurate 25th style 97 Trooper. I'll post pics if anyone's interested.

Not perfect, but when the TRU Viper 5-pack comes out it'll look a little more like it. I also decided the CLAW pilot's vest looks better on it.

A little paint would make it perfect.

Does anyone know when we will see more resolute figures and when the cartoon is supposed to start or has it been canceled. Also if you haven't picked up the new idw g.i. joe comics issue 0 thru 2 I would recommend them the writing is amazing.

Ya know what I realized today? We still haven't gotten a decent v.1 Destro. The first 5-pack had bad hands; the comic pack had the chrome head but still bad hands; the IG Destros don't count. What we need is a figure in his traditional costume, with a decent sized hand laser like he had in the toon that fits in his holster well, and the brief case. Probably in HOF Wave 2 since we still need a Duke and CC.

What about the DVD set version? I thought that one was alright, but don't remember it being significantly changed from any of the others.
