Teh Macguffin Devize! :APPLAUSE: An all-time favorite of mine. Although I could swear the first time I saw it that Beachhead was in the fairy tale...

Oh, ok, I heard that everything was cardboard. Which really brought the whole package down in my eyes.

Currently I've got my eye on the Attack/Def of Cobra Island packs and the SWAT RTV w/ Bullhorn exclusive. If I could only finagle a way to get them over here cheap... :-?

So I ran into the local Zellers yesterday to pick up a couple supplies, (mostly NyQuil seeing both me and my GF have picked up a bug that going around) and took a quick look at the toy section expecting nothing.

To my surprise found a black coat Doctor and Paris Baroness. Giving me the pieces I needed to make my Cobra Scarlett & Lady Jaye. (I took pics but my camera is acting like crap right now)

They also had a surprise that I really didn't expect, so I need to ask...

How much was the RHINO at retail in the States? $80 Canadian seems a bit steep, but then again I didn't expect to see one at all. (sadly I had to leave it behind, too big to carry with the other stuff I had to trek home) But I'm quite sure I'll be back for one this week.

I figured as much with our dollars almost at par again that Zellers is still charging 75%-100% mark-up over Target.

Still It's likely cheaper that If I was to look at on-line + shipping.

Maybe, but since there was a period where you could get them for $10 cheaper here in the US, you might be able to find a deal, even with shipping to Canada.

I don't mind taking my chances, I'd be more concerned about zellers dropping the price after getting it.

WTF! I haven't gotten an update in days. And no one was concerned about my absence... thanks guys :( I kid, I would get the SE statue but knowing me I'd probably go in for the real thing at least once and have someone walk in on me. Those lips, so safe, so inviting... anyway the only Joe item I got recently was the Target Eel and jet ski. I like the Black Eel, I wish the regular Eels were like those. No new vehicles by the way. The only thing I've been buying is the miraculously appeared TF Classic 2.0 Ultra's ON SALE, if you want any now is the time to get them. Last thing, does the RTV and Bullhorn come with his sweet sniper rifle from back in the day?

Supreme Convoy- Arise Serpentor Arise is the BEST Joe Miniseries ever.

It doesn't seem so. edit - It appears I was wrong. He does come with his suitcase sniper rifle! But MAN is that pricey...

Regardless, that jeep is the perfect balance of realism and over-the-top ridiculous armament that is pure Joe for me!

Slow times for joe apparently.

I finally found a ROC Night Adder and Charbroil. I find both to be less than overwhelming in the like department.

I thought the GI JOE Cobra comic Special was okay, and I like Tomax and Xamot.

I hate Joe figures for this reason... everytime I see a snow serpent, ice viper, or pitt commando, I want to buy it to troop build or use for body parts swaps. $7.99 joe figures are hard to take.

Good thing Walmart, K-Mart, TRU and Target only charge six dollars now!

K-mart desert four packs are on sale for $14.99 a piece too. I bought one today, really nice set. Heavy Duty comes with all the good parts from both of his releases and the Cobras look surprisingly good. I'm particularly having fun with the MARS Officer.

The only low point to the set is Duke, who uses Zartan's mold, which I'm not a fan of. Bad articulation, scrawny torso, just a "meh" mold, but if anyone's looking for a decent value and some fun figures, I'd say look at K-mart.

Slow times indeed. The first figure I bought in weeks was the Target exclusive Snake Eyes and Ninja Cycle. Also got the Eel and sea sled. Past on a third Pit Commando since I haven't opened the other two save to remove the rifle from one so the stock wouldn't get more bent out of shape than it was

I finally found a ROC Night Adder and Charbroil. I find both to be less than overwhelming in the like department.

Still trying to find those two, more charbroil than adder though.

I want the dealer incentive cover of that one.

The ATV's, mole pods, snow mobiles, and tanks, are so clogging the shelves by me I doubt I'll ever see a Sky Sweeper jet let alone three. I would buy the snow mobile but since I know it's coming in the then and now pack I'm waiting.

Meijer has been a good place to locate those. I actually saw them at my local Walmart last night as well, trying to find the base exclusives, but no luck.

Hey gang. You Canadians taking advantage of the TRU's 3-Joes-for-$20 sale? I might bite as I could use some for the comic. Here's hoping they restock before the end of the sale, like they did last time, earning me 3 Pit Commandos for about $7 each (instead of $10+tax, lolcanada)

I like having 3-man units with my army builders, seeing as how I'd be lucky if I ever saw 3 of the same figures on the pegs up here in the Great White North. Here's what I did with my Commandos, if you're interested. I put them on 2 stands and have them on a mission, in the corridor between my monitor and my printer.

The point man is "Point Blank," the neurotic better-safe-than-sorry guy. He wears a helmet with faceshield, Stone's armoured vest for extra protection, and carries a Jackhammer shotgun. Hence the codename.

Behind him is the squad leader, with the standard issue tactical vest and modded assault rifle. I don't have a name for him yet.

Next up and third in line is Bradley Abrams, codename "The Tank." He's packing the M249 and a backpack of extra gear. When the squad needs firepower, he's their man.

Image

If you're wondering, I made up names and backstories while absentmindedly trying to avoid work. :|

I almost took advantage of the 3for$20 on Sunday, but of the selection they had I only wanted the single Crimson Viper they had, and the only other thing on the crappy selection i might have grabbed was a Bench press, but as I already have 2, i just left them on a the hope some kid would get a cool figure rather than the 20 odd Destro's, Duke's, and Heavy Duty's clogging the rack there.

I hope to get to another location today or tomorrow and hopefully there is a better selection.

I know what you mean. I'm hoping they clear out a bunch over the weekend and restock on new stuff [Resolute Snake-Eyes =P~ ]. I'll go back next week and grab a Flash and if they have one, a Helix for customizing. Then I'll have to decide on which I'd like to get for free.

Luckily I'm at a current point where I've got the figures that I need from what is available.

But if they have good pieces to customize than i'll grab some.

I've already got a spare Helix as I was thinking of doing a possible Lady Jaye, but then I made one without using it, so It's sitting in the my spare box for now.
