Could just be like the street fighter transformers, pick a transformer that some how represents x-men. Punch/counter punch might make for classic X-men uniform one side and 90's X-men uniform on the other. Whatever it is hopefully they've got funkoesque licencing so that it isnt priced at double the respective class of the figure.
I'd be down for a titan class blackbird that changes into the dangeroom with an included Danger marvels legend figure (wouldnt be able to pilot it but maybe could be dropped from a bomb hatch). Include some faces of xmen titan masters to pilot it (the heads of the characters were always on the comics iirc).

Because comic sales as a whole are not in a good place right now and sometimes immediate survival replaces "long term goal."
Don't have to look much farther than the 90's alternate cover phase to find sometimes comic companies go for the spaghetti "everything against the wall" approach and hope something catches on.
And right now give TF toy sales it is possible it is the stronger brand than the X-Men after Disney ran the franchise into the ground to spite Fox.

The Street Fighter figures were a Takara-only thing not part of (and predating) Hasbro's Collaborative line, which this is a part of.

Looks like an improvement over all the other collabs so far, Ectotron could easily have had his goggles filippable like this one. the little figures remind me of the 90s ones that came with sweets or something but not in a bad way. They missed out on using titan masters for the head though as it could easily be swappable to any other X-suit wearing X-man.

Thanks, I didn't realize that from the initial post. I don't really check up on Target site much. Target does have pre-orders up for it, it appears to have the same pictures as the Hasbro pulse page.

I'd say he is being pretty generous actually. All Hail Megatron was really the only thing IDW ever put out I somewhat enjoyed reading, Dreamwave's ongoing was the last time I really enjoyed a TF Comic series as a whole.
Also looks like our initial guess of a SS Jetfire heavy retool was correct.
