While I like SG Starscream in robot mode, I would have really liked them to paint the inner part of the nose as well because it leaves a white line between the 2 red halves.

So, based on IDW losing the license for Transformers, does that mean that the SG wave 2 figures are likely canned? I hope not, the Delta Magnus deco would be great to have, and SG Soundwave would be neat

Given the licence doesn't actually change hands till the end of the year, wave 2 will likely happen...after that though...

It still belongs to Hasbro, they can continue it with a new publisher if they want. Also unlike other TF comics there's a direct tie between the toys rather than the usual vague connection. The line continuing past this year really depends on how dedicated Hasbro is rather than who's publishing it.

That's fair. I was just looking at it and thinking it's very possible that Hasbro would decide not to continue the SG comic with IDW and not transfer it, especially because SG figures cost them almost nothing to do because they're not designing any new engineering for them outside of a replacement head, or a new accessory. Plus outside of Jetfire and Megatron, it doesn't look like any of them have actually sold out despite being a lower production run of figures

I'm glad I got my grip on a SG Megatron. it looks to me IMO that he continues to creep up just like the damn wretched gas prices in this high price state I reside in. :BANG_HEAD:

Maybe he meant a SG version of the commander figure?

The SG I would love the most is Cyclonus out of the Kingdom figure.

And on more thought, I would actually like a black version of Kingdom Rodimus that has the light blue on his chest in place of the orange, like the MP-09 figure did. That would look better than just black and purple.

He's not wrong, I just don't agree that a new mold of a character means we should expect a new SG version of a character, especially since SG characters are so rare. We've had two new Starscream molds since Siege and I'm not expecting another Starscream out of those.

That said, I had zero interest in Rodimus Unicronus, but would buy literally any mold in the MP-09 black, blue, and purple design. It's gorgeous, and is close enough to the Lost Light design to stand in on an IDW shelf. (Holding out hope for a Flame Toys Furai repaint for that, but I'll do it myself if I have to.)

Nah I was thinking of repainting Studio Hot Rod for a great SG version!!! I feel a repaint of of Rodimus Prime for Rodimus Unicronus would be a justified replacement over the POTP version...IMO of course. ;)^

My wallet is hoping neither one gets made into a SG figure, but will grudgingly settle for just the voyager being done. My wallet is a pragmatist in knows my lack of will power means I'll buy both if made.

I personally don't think we'll get a SG Hot Rod or Rodimus Prime, unless they do a year 3 of the line. They killed him and Sideswipe in the comics before the main story, so at least fiction wise they don't seem to be anticipating either of those happening, but that's just the comics and my own thinking

Well, Sideswipe's death could be to set up his return like similar to Armada's Wheeljack "dying" only to return alive and well, except now a Decepticon :twisted:

But I know in my heart that we're unlikely to get any serious continuation of the SG subline outside of possible GenSelects figures when either the original mold they used gets an update, or if Hasbro just feels like tossing out a quick repaint on an original mold

I don't care at all for the SG storyline, but there are plenty of toys I'd like to see in a third year, especially Thundercracker. My favorite SG designs are the ones that were basically imported, and even if we do get Slicer, there should be plenty of others like that too choose from.

Yeah, SG Rewind is historically red, which matches the tape door color on this release like how Kingdom/Legacy Eject matches Blaster's tape door.

Regular G1 Rewind is rumored to come with Legacy Twincast anyway.
