THE END IS NIGH!! Oh, wait, that happened a few hours ago... Welcome back, bots and babes, to the roundup broadcast of WarPorn Industries latest Campaign instalment and exploration of the enigmatic region known as the
Inferno.
We have all just spent the last week battling our enemies try to and get the greatest advantage against these unknown Reaver d-bags, and it has been hard going - the Sonic Canyons have never been so busy, and we are just about ready to re-open the Inferno region now so exploration can continue, but not before we tell you about an incredible discovery we have made down there.
Those of you who took part in the final round of the previous campaign, you may recall an Autobot artefact called the
Shard of Resillience that also told us about the first programmer and Ancestor of the Heavy Metal War? Well, behold mortals, as we have discovered...
The Throne of Vir. Wait, what? I hear you all cry! What's he got to do with all this?
Well, let me pass you over to the ancient one himself, Senator Short-aft, to explain:
Psychout wrote:Here it is! Marvel in the majesty of Vir's throne! The original seat of the first great coder who molded Cybertron to his will and ushered in our modern age, but this is far more than just a cosy seat of power.
Our investigations have discovered machine code inscriptions throughout the chamber telling of another more important purpose; it also operated as a seal, or firewall if you will, erected here in the eye of what has become the Inferno, specifically engineered as a barricade against the horrors of our past from invading our modern reality.
Could this ancient dias be the cause of this mysterious Inferno region, or is it a by-product of it? We may never know.
What we do know is that it is heavily damaged, but we do not know when or even how. That Shard of Resillience, now destroyed, appears to have once been a part of that throne completing the seal, which means that whatever was behind could now escape. Could other parts be missing too? We can only guess.
We sent our bravest and expendable Predacon scouts down to investigate the vast ancient chamber and the throne itself and... well... we have good news and bad news.
The bad news is, we have discovered where these Reavers are coming from. Vir's Throne was patching up a breach to the Dead Space dimension, which is now leaking into our reality. This appears to be what allowed the Reavers to pass into our Cybertron, and it is the Dead Space power they are using to convert the NAILs and maybe others into their mindless Brood armies through their infection.
The good news however, may also be bad... we have found an ‘escapee’ from the Dead Space. It appears Cybertronian in origin, but is in a critical condition and unrecognisable in all other respects except one - it clearly has monstroous altmode capabilities that once included the agility to Bite. It has been taken back to Neo Kaon and interred within WarPorn’s tax haven industrial complex there for further study under Mal Practice and his team from across the 4 factions.
What? The Predacons didn't come back from... oh. Oops.
Ahem. Make that 3 factions.
We will update you all with details on our new friend once Parasite has finished her ‘interrogation’.
Also, scouts are quite cheap to replace. Think that goes in the ‘good’ column?
Sage wisdom as always from the boss there.
So, whilst we wait for our specialists to pull apart the main mission terminals and dig out the results of both the War and the Twelfth Knight competition, we turn our attention back to the Inferno.
Both factions had very different objectives for that war, and we can exclusively reveal to all of you exactly what those differences were.
Can any of you spot what was going on?
