Indeed it would. I would love to see the pit evolve and branch out into other styles such as team, tag-team, endurance, gestalt etc. (oooohhh, did he just say the "g" word?)

I think there's room for the 30x30 robot mode icon in the registry, even if you don't have an altmode. We'll see what happens.

The first time you log in after the reset, you'll have a choice to pick a new side. After that there may be a way to switch sides within the parameters of the game, but how one goes about doing so, and if there are penalties involved isn't set in stone.

Is there a way to change the Number of Kills thing to show exactly what we have killed. Like
Kills = X
Autobots = X
Cons = X
Maximals = X
Preds = X
Quints = X
It would help out alot. Plus throw in like set bonuses for reaching a preset number of kills.

I'm not going to ask for the Bios to be changed to included a list of Functions the bot can be. It would help in making a bio for them. :-?

I do not believe that they will change.

Tactics will have a 1,000 3,000 and 6,000 cost for primary, secondary and tertiary tactics. OS will be upping number of upgrtades to reach the next level by one to camke up for the third tactic.

0-1 will still be 5 upgrades.

I would like to see that as well. Give a few more spots for bragging rights on who kills the most of a certain faction. Also shows whos most dangerous to teammates when they accidentally kill someone with that kremzeek. :P

That'd be neat to see. I think it's been stated that OS is a bit of a stat nut, so we'll see...

I haven't seen anything about whether the "reset" option for your bots will be a part of V2. Will that option remain in the new version?

I'm glad the xp costs will be fixed, that's one of the things that winds me up, certain tactics on alt-modes costing a bomb (4,000 for avoid on an Arachnid? And that's the only tactic avaliable!).

I quite like that, but I thought it might have been stricter, like 1,000, 4,000 and 8,000 xp respectively, but having access to all of them from the start.

So what's the deal with the sub-factions?

We're going to have four factions, plus another four sub-factions for those factions as well?

Who are those in charge?
How far does their authority extend?

And what about "leaders"? Is that an official title or just a title applied to the sub-faction Mods?

Will there be "leaders" for the main factions? (Or is it a sub-faction thing only?)
And if so, what will be their roles and how will they be appointed?

I seem to remember a Subfaction member had the bare faced cheek to question an admin's actions regarding HMW stating that they (the Subfaction) should have been consulted first! :lol:

What V2 doesn't need is a repeat of that.

If Subfactions are to exist in V2, then so be it, but they must not be in a position to dictate HMW 'policy'...

The previous leadership of the RDD and the AWC have volunteered to step up for the RDD and AWC here, as for the Maximals/Predacons, it's all still kinda in the air. op/sumowrestler seem to be there for the Maximals, and Symbiote Spiderman for the preds as of right now. I might've missed a name or two.

How far does their authority extend?

Only within the subfaction. The faction commanders have power over all their faction, but will stay out of the subfactions internal affairs unless their presence is required. Just like the Mods will stay out of the faction boards unless they are needed or requested to step in.

And what about "leaders"? Is that an official title or just a title applied to the sub-faction Mods?

The Autobot leader will have mod abilities for all of the faction/related subfaction forum. The subfaction leader will only have the mod abilities in the subfaction forums.

We are looking for good posting presence as well as general respect from the faction they belong to. The Faction Leader, we hope, will be the rallying force to his/her faction to get them to work together to take Cybertron. Also they'll be mods so we're looking for level-headedness.

Everything's still in the works right now, and the true beauty of all of this can't be imagined until Seibs upgrades the boards to the new version of phpbb. The end result will be to have a single forum for each faction, and within the forum will be subforums for whatever the faction commander wants in there. Yes we are planning on allowing a casual discussion forum seperate from GD within either the main HMW forum or each faction board to promote a better community here. We are aware of how daunting the other boards are at times for some HMW posters.

That said I do not want to see this becoming a subfaction discussion thread please.

To my knowledge group tactics will be phased out, at least for now. I'm uncertain as to what other abilities Rank will provide, but I'm certain OS has some plans.

Are leaders really necessary? And do they need to be Mods as well?

I look at it this way, you may be able to find someone level-headed to be a Mod, but absolutely useless in leading a faction.

And vice-versa. There might be someone who can lead a faction, but not level-headed enough to be a Mod.

And what if the leader turns out to be completely bloody useless and someone else not in charge comes up with a strategy far superior? Is a faction going to have to keep suffering because of a useless leader, and what happens when the majority of the faction starts following a non-leader who's doing a better job?

And like I asked, are leaders absolutely necessary? In the past with tournaments a number of people have stepped up when necessary to rally people. They didn't need to be made "leader", they simply stood up, gave their suggestions, others stepped up to discuss suggestions and strategies were formed.

At least that's how it's worked for the 'Cons in the past and we've never had major disagreements on how to co-ordinate things. :WHISTLE:

to be fair Burn, when has the official mod line ever dictated to masses what to do? the only time we comply with it is if it's in our best interest, if it isn't we find ways around it.
