Spotted this in a log from a couple of weeks ago, so it's still current. I don't think I've seen this "... and has been destroyed" line before - can anyone tell me what that's about?

Possible factors: acid rainmaker weapon, massive overkill on the final hit (78% total = +54% past SL, according to the score), L0 victim.

Found another one with a L2 taking +58% overkill (single Magnus Hammer attack, 158% damage) but no "destroyed" message. Is it a specific weapon thing, or a L0 thing?

Aaaand another one that matches the first in everything except level and doesn't have "destroyed": whopping +68% overkill, acid rainmaker, destroyed from <25% on second hit; the only difference is it's a L3 bot. So is it something that happens to L0 bots taking massive overkill?

FFS, now I've got a zero-XP bot taking +109% overkill (!!) from a Magnus Hammer and not being destroyed... Is it to do with the weapon? Both bots have 0 STR so no armour involved...

Must just be something left over from older texr when a level 0 been overkilled, I’ll keep an eye out on my logs and see what comes up

That was my guess, that it was a relic of some rolled-back update, but I'm struggling to identify exactly what. Best guess atm is possibly something to do with a bot taking enough damage from an acid rainmaker (the first example took 154% total damage from the acid rainmaker; the EDIT 2 one took more total overkill but only 78% was from the rainmaker; the EDIT 3 bot took way more overkill but not from that weapon) and may be a random chance based on how much armour the bot has. Seems to be pretty rare, I've only noticed it on that one log and haven't caught another example since.

I'll have to check back through old forum threads and see if there's any mention of it in game updates.

The only thing I can think of that had that as part of the victory text was the old minicons which attached to your maion bot/con and were destroyed if you were stasis locked?

"... and [minicon name] has been destroyed" was the text IIRC.

This was rolled back a very long time ago though, and it may be that was never removed properly.
