Hugo Weaving to Voice Megatron in Bay's Transformers
I am pulling for cockney!
He was stuck in the lab with a bunch of scientists after being pulled out of the ice. Hopefully one of them said "Cherrio!" one too many times.
I hope he changes in a chimey sweep broom. That would show Optimus Prime!

Nope, still English English. Just with a few made-up words thrown in for effect.

HOOOOOOOOOLLLY Shitmeister!
He's got some pretty far-out powers to go along with them, too, including teleportation, the projection of trippy telepathic visions and illusions, and the ability to groove on the language of 98% of all known species. To uses his powers to the fullest, though, he's gotta be feelin' good vibrations; bad karma can seriously harsh his mellow, y'know?

After seeing some parts of the Matrix movies (so convenient), I can imagine how will this sound. I wonder how long until we see fan art making a parody of this (Matrix + TFs)?

people have the right to say what they want no matter how unpopular or vulgar it may be
its called freedom of speech
I strongly agree with freedom of speech, but no matter what mood you're in, people should respect each other on this board and not be so tacky in comments.
Anyway, I like this actor, Weaving, I think he can pull it off, and has great talent to do so, just like Welker does. Both were good choices, but, isn't Movie Megatron, just a very small role anyway? I don't think we're going to hear much from Weaving or whoever, I guess.

I think it's a pretty good choice. I wouldn't have thought of him as Megatron, but I can see him as Megatron. I'll admit it, I'm a borderline Geewunner. But I don't think Welker would have been a great fit for the Megatron design.
Well... nobody is probably a good fit for it... but I do think Weaving's sinister and calculating voice fits the character... what's left of it.

Hang on, I thought it was Hugo Weaving voicing Megatron, not Dick Van Dyke?

It should not matter who voices megatron as long as they can get the voice to sound awesome!

Truth is, if I had not already known it was Hugo Weaving as V, I would have never guessed it was him. That V voice is great, but it has nothing similar to Smith, which is good.
We really have no idea what this Megatron will sound like with him voicing it.

I loved V for Vendetta and I didn't realize it was acutally Weaving. Now I'm stocked to have him playing Megs (if the website is to be believed. I see no reason why not...)

We need to give warnings first, especially to new users. We can't ban people every time someone says something stupid. Trust me, I'd like to. But we shouldn't. We have to give people a chance to prove they can be a part of this community. If they can't do that, they'll hang themselves soon enough with their own rope in due time. People make mistakes and say the wrong things. We have to give people a chance.

The way I see it, Weaving would cost more than Welker. Got any links to show how much Welker gets per job?
It was said when Welker first mentioned. I don't have the specifics myself, though. I've read it all over though.
It's true ... I don't remember if it was Bay or Murphy or who said it. But it was said. I imagine they were looking at the cost of his voice versus the recognition that it would bring to the movie. The only people Welker would make happy are the fans. The majority of people seeing this movie would probably enjoy hearing a recognizable voice or actor as the main villain in this movie. If Welker gets to do some of the voices or sound effects, I'll be pleased. If not, then I'll be bummed. I'd like to at least see Welker be involved on some level with the movie since he played so many more characters than just Megatron. Remember ... this is the same guy who voiced life into Wheelie.

Holy crap... That was... SWEET!
Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

I think the s is just supposed to be making it plural. But **** if I know. I didn't read the script.

But then it would be N.B.E.s, as opposed to N.B.E.S. . It could be intended for plural but it would make for an especially screwy acronym. Maybe 'Non-Biological Extraterrestrial Sapients/Sentients/Species/Specimens'?
