Megatron fights with no strategy and no brains. The story and fight scenes will be better without him in the sequel.

Until such time that he grows a brain. Maybe in TF3. After learning from Starscream.

I think it would be cool if Megatron scanned a V-22 Osprey. It's big and I can see Megatron being one.

Propably a concorde, like Silverbolt.
Perhaps, MEgatron might scan a tank, like G2 or Armada.
Personally, I prefer the 'gun' version of Megatron, but no mass-shifting in the movie, right?
The V22 Osprey is also quite large, might fit him.

SR-71 is obsolete. Maybe they can make something in the shape of SR-71, but more futuristic. Like a top secret new military jet.

railgun artillery

this stays true to his old form, accounts for massshifting, and still lets other Decepticons "carry" him as a gun. It could also make for some SWEET battles and arm cannon action.

if not that, a tank.

neither do tanks or guns, megatrons more well known forms. he normally has an arm cannon on his alt form, and I dont know any planes based around one large barrel shaped weapon. He can also fly when hes a robot, like all decepticons.

if you mean he has to fly cause hes a jet in Baysformers, well thats a problem, cause there are no planes that really fit megatron all that well IMO.

His alt-mode in Animated, while not necessarily an Osprey, looks very similar. So it's a possibility.
