You did it once again iGear. You've convinced me once more NOT to buy your products. No other 3rd party has succeeded so much at failing. Even CrazyDevy got me to buy some of their addons (the Seacons), but iGear has yet to get any of my money. Every time I'm even slightly tempted, I see the price or some screw up in design/color/whatever and it turns me off, and this is coming from the insane mother&%#@er who bought Genesis without a moment's hesitation and paid $1250 for a green Ramulus.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I am that which is, which was, and is yet to come.
And you will know my name is MEGATRON when I lay my vengeance upon you!

In all fairness, Genesis is f@%$ing amazing.
Also, iGear's Kup head and gun set for Kup/Perceptor is pretty nice.

Hehe, yeah, Genesis is epic.
I didn't get the Kup or Perceptor accessories, but that's just because I never got into the comics so I had no interest in making their Generations figures look like they did in the comics.

Fair enough.
For the record, I don't even read the comics (well, I just started MTMTE due to rave reviews). I just wanted a more G1-ish head for Kup (Hasbro's head is awful), and some decent guns for Perceptor since he didn't come with any. Both were fair buys.

I may have bought Skywarp just to try one of these out, but I'm not in for all three at once ... nope.
It is the same thing that kept me away from their conehead seekers, which got pretty nice reviews. I wasn't going to pay the premium to get them individually, and as a set, it was just too much $$$ at once to swallow, so I skipped them.
Now, with what they did to the minibots sets, (hurk, sorry threw up in my mouth a bit when I thought of it) I'm just angry with them.

When I needed a gun for Perceptor, I just hit up eBay and picked up an extra G1 Perceptor gun. Works quite well with him.

The only iGear products I have are two of their minibots, Huffer and Gears. I was rather annoyed at the change in scale, and while overall I like Gears, I cannot help but think he feels too simplistic for his size, and he would have been better smaller.

In the meantime, iGear comes out with THESE.

I still like the F15 better for the modular wing design, but this is very clever. Is there precedence in the comics for these designs?

Hate that I've already decided to repurpose the Generations: Fall of Cybertron/Thrilling 30 Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp as my Generation One Seekers, since I can cheat like that.

Yea, these iGear figures are definitely better than the FOC Seekers... but at 10x the price, and the fact that you have to get them in sets of 3, makes these figures a hassle.Mindmaster wrote:Ooh, I would've skimped on everything in the world just for all six of these.

I get that these don't fit in any specific context, but I'm ok with that. Looking at Starscream, no, he isn't exactly any one cartoon or comic incarnation, but I think he does a great job of capturing the feel of the character and sort of all the years of comic incarnations wrapped up into one.
Having to buy them together is an issue. I'd probably be willing to spend $80 or so on Starscream by himself, or, if I have to buy them in sets, then $50 a piece = $150 per set.

I would count on them going on clearance 6-12 months from now. Especially the sets of 3.
Until I have a nice, proper Megatron update (Hegemon didn't do it for me, the overall quality and rate at which his joints reportedly wore down made me extremely irate), I don't see a reason to get Voyager-sized Seekers.
For now, those nicely packaged United Ace/Elite Seeker 3-packs I got on clearance will work for me, despite being woefully outdated design-wise.

It's really a shame the decent seeker toys HasTak creates are deluxe scale. The 1.0 & the FOC Seeker toys would have been amazing had they been at the voyager scale.
