Is there a difference between Level 9 and 10?

Postby Metroplex79 » Mon Nov 26, 2007 10:47 am

Treadware

I have the most powerful Level 9 in the game (at the moment), should I upgrade to Lvl 10?

I just noticed that I got enough xp last night to upgrade that last stat to make him a Lvl 10. Is there a difference?

Currently there are 37 Lvl 9s, and 24 Lvl 10s. Would I really make a difference?

I'd be tossing him in the same missions now, and doing the same damage to everyone he encounters.

Does it really matter at this point of the game, or would some call me a 'level bully'?

yeah you'd be worth double the xp, have to pay an extra 100 energon for cr, i'm assuing you are going to up FP, which would take mean each shot in strafe would do about a 20th more damage before the enemies endurance mitigates the damage.

you'd also be able to equip a gatling gun, which is pretty nice.

I say go, but that's cos i'm selfish and want to repair your ass.

At that point, level bullying is nigh impossible. It's only a matter of configuration preference (from this on average less than 200,000 XP Autobot). Just recognize the upgrade will only make you more valuable as a target.

unless you get a gatling gun.

Good point. So both a more valuable target, and more threatening opponent.

If your opponent has 10 electum, and 10 endurance, and you have 10 strength the battle blades are still more effective... :-?

But you earn alot, more xp @ level 10, ask FX4Prime...

There's really not much direct benefit to you for levelling up, especially since you don't use the Arena. However, you get the indirect benefit of helping your Repair-capable allies earn more xp and allowing your opponents to earn more xp so they can level up faster, becoming higher value targets that will give you more xp.

Actually, I'd like to see Treadware level up, as I fight him enough in the missions that it would be nice to earn L10 xp from him...and it would actually make it worth my while to play my non-Repairer L10s in the missions. In my earlier post, I was just pointing out that it really doesn't matter for you where the character is, but it would be beneficial for me if he were at L10.

OK, I gave everyone a ample time to reply. :P

I WILL upgrade him to Level 10...when he's 80 million xp.

I just chose that amount because it looks like a nice round number. For those who aren't going to check to see where my guy is, he's currently at 76,431,339.

The countdown begins...

Time frames:

Level 9: 4 million XP = 8-9 days, or so...
Level 10: 4 million XP = 2-3 days, or so...
