In all seriousness, I would report him instantly. I lived in Sheffield for a year and while I honestly couldn't understand a lot of people , I found out that there are really nice people all over the country. There's nothing wrong with people from Yorkshire! As I say, I made many friends in Sheffield. One of my exes and good friends is from York. I have friends in Harrogate and Tadcaster. It goes on. At the end of the day, accents, places of birth, etc. shouldn't matter.
What this fellow is doing is unfair. It's a prejudice, essentially. It's also bullying. So report him. He'll do it to others, as well.
Is he actually a Brummie? Does he speak with the Queen's English?
