I dont get it do you just wait or is there something I do?

Yeah, you just wait, basically. It's up to the Random Number God (RNG) to determine what happens in the fights.

What you *can* do is when you get the right amount of exp, upgrading your character's stats to make them more effective in battle. Courage, Strength, and Speed seem to be pretty popular nowadays, last I checked...

You can't forget Firepower and Strafe. ;)^
