Since we're getting a single packed Snake Trooper I wonder if that means that mystery four pack won't come with two of those after all as rumored? That would make me happy.

Masterverse doesntlooklikedolph has been dispatched to me from Amazon, for a reasonable £25 for a 'deluxe' materverse figure. Just going to have to wait for some place to have movie skeletor for a non crazy price (or failing that order it from target at $35).

That's a lot of figures for a canceled line. Scott is still saying that in his most recent video and he's getting a little more belligerent about it. Honestly considering unsubbing.



Snakeface as a Deluxe means he's keeping his features so that's great. Spikor and Two-Bad are the last two figures I really want so we're getting closer to my ideal lineup. Still need a Deluxe Rio Blast, too, but that figure would need 100% new tooling and weapons so they're probably hesitating on that one. I wonder when that Walmart exclusive Moss Man is coming out, he was revealed back in October.

I unsubbed hard. I still can't believe he'd use anecdotal evidence for what should be informational videos (like announcing that Marvel Legends toys will no longer be stocked at brick and mortar retail). And that video about what he mistakenly calls arbitrage was just trash.

To be fair, Scott only said MOTU would be disappearing from B&M retail, he always said it could continue online. All Walmarts I've been to near me no longer have MOTU after their reset. Only a few Targets still have them. If after April 1 any retailer is still getting new MOTU at B&M then he will have been proven wrong.

I get why people are skeptical, Scott dosen't have absolute knowledge about many brands. But guys like Mike French at Retroblasting are way more insufferable.


Also with Marvel Legends he only said Target specifically would no longer carry any Marvel Legends not tied to MCU content, which from what I've seen at all the Targets in my area is correct. They only have Wakanda Forever, And starting to get Quantumania Legends. D+ Legends like Ms Marvel and She Hulk are on clearance. No big surprise there.

This is true, but he seemed to be doubling down on the line ending with the video I linked to. Ever since 2023 started he seems like he's grasping at every little thing to prove himself right about MOTU not being owned by Mattel, but even if he is right that doesn't mean Mattel hasn't worked out a deal with Classic Media to keep producing figures, I've never once heard him say that.

I've enjoyed a lot of his videos about the industry in general, but I feel like he's run out of interesting things to talk about and he's grasping at things to talk about so he keeps going back to everything he thinks is wrong with the industry.

He didn't precice which types of Marvel Legends. He saw that his one Target didn't have a tag and then said Target no longer them.

Well, Scott is at it again, this time with his latest video claiming that new MOTU pre-orders on Deep Discount is further proof that Mattel has dropped MOTU and all the leaks aren't happening. Of course he's ignoring three facts: 1) Deep Discount has always sold MOTU figures, 2) Deep Discount discounts the vast majority of figures they sell, and 3) Deep Discount is a regular retailer, they aren't a liquidator like T.J.Maxx or Ross.

Thinking about the previous Mike Mignola MOTU art, I brought up a while ago. I saw this piece by Art Adams.




I do wish Mattel would release something more stylised, like this. I mean, the aesthetic of the newest show (and toyline) is along the right lines. But instead of Origins and/or the "show accurate" demakes that the Classics line ended on. Why not lean more into source material like this? It would be an interesting way to commemorate the next anniversary. Celebrating the line through the eyes of various creators/fans.

might be a bit too grey but anythings better than £900 for a snake mountain. Doesnt look like it is coming with a figure either but it has got what it needs.

*also cgi he-mans has not been signed up for another series by netflix, would be nice if amazon took over it.

Speaking of castles, I think the Origin castle was grossly overproduced because not only it was found everywhere, it fell often on sale and there was even some overstock in liquidator stores.

Think the same thing will happen with Origin Snake Mountain?

It's always been $100, but I don't think I've ever seen it that high at Amazon, it's usually in the $80 range there, but I've seen it as low as $70. Even after tax and $4 shipping I still saved.

Finally managed to order 2x King Hiss from amazon uk (£22 each), one to display in each mode even if it's the same dude. Trying to not fall too far behind before redundancy hit whilst avoiding paying over the odds for standard retail figures.Just gotta hoipe Amazon doesnt cancel in the mean time.
