The Star Wars Toy Haul Thread

Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

That would be awesome! I would want my head on an Endor Trooper's body, I think. That or a Grand Moff or something.

I heard also that the ARC-170 reissue and the Battle Pack for that should be out5 the following week of December possibly on an endcap

How do some sites like Rebelscum already have them in their hands and up at their galleries? I guess they have connections. I can't wait to get these... well, I should wait, because my wallet will cry like a &*%$# when I find these sets!

I picked up an extra Jawa with LIN Droid and Rebel Honor Guard today. I think this is the second time I've seen a Jawa in the store...

I'm not sure but I think Ryan gets some Transformers early from Hasbro

The toy companies possibly use the sites to advertise upcoming toys so they hook up the big sites like Rebelscum and Seibertron

I remember that's how he got Leader-Class Movie Prime.
Check out my books, Titanomachies and Divine Retribution, on my blog!

Yesterday the 17th marked the 29th anniversary for the god aweful Star Wars Holiday Special

For those who haven't seen it I will spare you the 2 hour version(you might want to destroy something after seeing it)

So here is a 5 minute version

Haha... that was a trip. Is that really Carrie Fisher singing? She can sing pretty well.

I think my favorite part was when the Death Star Trooper was watching the band in the Wookiee TV. Or when the Wookiee put on the VR headset and was greeted by a human woman who said "you want to have a good time?"

The cartoon wasn't half bad. Especially because of the Fett. I haven't watched anything else except the intro with Chewy's family... and that's why.

It first aired when I was 12

I was excited it was Star Wars on TV

Remember there were VCR's at the time but they cost around $1200.

Videos were expensive also around $100 or more. You only seen a movie debut on TV not on cable but on network tv.

It also was the era of the god aweful variety show. That inspired Lucas to have it like this

So to me at 12 it was as I said Star Wars on TV

I didn't know anybetter :(

I noticed that too, I guess it's a seasonal price drop. It's about damn time, these things should never have cost more than $6 each.

Today at work I had to keep myself from laughing as I kept thinking about the Holiday Special segment that I watched this morning  Luke really does look like Molly Ringwald, doesn't he?! And Han's "I care about you Chewbacca, and your family too" thing was just too much. And those creepier-than-clowns Wookiee children's faces! And Wookiees parading about in red robes, with Princess Leia singing, and the droids watching everything... it was just too ridiculous!

I'll have to watch the whole thing again sometime. I need a good laugh!
