Definitely would have seen this. Especially if 'Skyfire' actually referred to Skyfire. Where do I sign for this to actually be made...
The face on the carrier plane looks like first-Movie Megatron's head design, but I can't imagine any logical or sensible explanation for why Megatron (or anybody) would want to turn into an aircraft that exposes their entire face.
Could it have been nudged because the concept of a superhero period war film was already being done that year with Wonder Woman? Maybe they wanted to avoid looking like they'd copied the idea.

Nope, I'm pretending Bumblebee never happened and all this WWII stuff did. This stuff looks great. Shame it was never produced into a film.
I have anxiety, depression and aspergers syndrome so my behaviour can be erratic. I don't mean offense to anyone. Just very picky about my Transformers collecting. You're all cool!
Likes: Bayverse, Marvel UK G1, Geoff Senior art, '86 movie (more for style/soundtrack rather than Star Wars plot)
Dislikes: Bumblebee movie (lousy rehashed dumb crud), TFA, G1 cartoon, IDW G1, BW/BM, MP. The entire concept of Autobot Megatron

If I recall from the TLK bonus features, this and many other concepts weren't "movies that will never be made" or formal pitches, they were (very involved) brainstorming exercises.

I'm guessing it's the Nazi's homage to Megatron, who they somehow know about. Or the Decepticon's homage. Either way, I'm sure it would have been about as dumb as Transformium.

Re: Transformers: The Last Knight Discussion Thread
Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but I found more concept art from the same artist (also his online portfolio page, if anyone's interested), and here're a few highlights I don't think have been mentioned yet(BTW, that Decepticon Nazi plane on 2 images? That's Starscream):

Not sure what's scarier: the massive size of that Quintesson Judge, or that Unicron's hand has a face in it!

...you know what, nevermind. This is scarier.

Decepti-gremlins!
How about Megatron-locomotive?

Bumblebee: Skull Island
Not gonna lie, though, if this was a Cybertron overtaken by wilderness instead of a secret Earth island, I'd love a movie or episode around this setting.

All that concept art isn't actually for TLK. It's art for a separate pitch called "Operation: Skyfire", a spinoff movie planned to have been made if TLK had been a success.

Although, it would have massacred the continuity of the movies even further, since the concept art also depicts ROTF Megatron participating in WWII.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Still wish those ideas had gotten a chance, that Operation Skyfire movie just speaks to me on so many levels

I LOVE this concept art, I'm really bummed this movie didn't pan out!
It would if it was ROTF Megatron, but if they used the 07 design and ended the movie with him being refrozen it could kinda work!

Something interesting though that I never really considered: Megatron's defauly body in universe seems to be his ROTF one rather than his movie 1 look. Within the marketting campaign for the first film, Megatron's look was said to be his interstellar travel mode (or something like that). So a mode used for a specific purpose, not his actual standard form. We had toys of Prime and Starscream in those modes as well.
Megs gets his well known tank body form in the second movie and in the third film, where his alt mode changes to a truck, we can still see the foundation blocks of his ROTF body but now with truck mode kibble. So that tells me that even in a WWII alt mode, he would still have a body similar to his ROTF one in bot mode.

Hey all, question for you. There is a lot I dislike about the Last Knight but one bit that I just find wild and pure nonsense is the deux ex machina bit where Bumblebee speaks to Optimus in his actual voice and that's what snaps Optimus out of his Nemesis Prime persona.
Where did that come from? I know Mark Wahlberg was trying to fix his voice box earlier but failed at it. Was there a scene that I missed (I only watched the film once) where he was still trying and it had to take a while for it to work or something like that? Or did it really just come out of nowhere? Was there an explanation? And why did Bee not simply keep speaking in his normal voice after that?

I always understood that the beating he was taking actually knocked his original voice box back into line somehow. After the Siri voicebox didn't work out, I like to think his original was put back in since he didn't use that siri voice, and since Ratchet had gotten it to work temporarily before, it was that close to being back to functioning, and considering the throttling Prime was giving him, that was the specific shots that did it, since he really hadn't been choke slammed like that before in the films
