Oh yeah probably is. Just saw the movie and I thought it was great. Made me feel like the first one did when I saw it. Like my childhood nostalgia came back and got some new great memories to add with it. And Megatron looks great on the big screen, aside from the face damage. Too bad he died though, always was my favorite.
DUDE!!! SPOILERS!!
My kids and I haven't seen the movie yet (we are going tonight) and while I may not be as concerned about such things, my 12 year old sometimes browses this site and I don't want anything ruined for him. I don't live with my kids and therefore can't monitor what he's checking out on here.
Anyways, darn cool concept pics. I find it interesting that Warpath was thought of as a Wrecker. That would have been great if he had made the cut just for the sake of having Warpath in the film but since he wasn't ever an original Wrecker it doesn't hurt my feelings too much. The whole "Wrecker" thing was just a casual nod or reference thrown in for the fans of the original comics anyways so I'm happy with even that small courtesy being shown to us "old-timers".

Nah, Penguinbeak is awesome.
But on a side note and back on topic, you know what this guy's artwork made me think of?
Old image comic from back in the 90s. I can't find the info and the artists who worked on it, but the inner gears and machine parts covered by armor and effects...yeah, i think "Brass" may have been an early inspiration for this guy.
Kind of weird to think that our modern day Movie Transformers were inspired by a 90s comic book that had no relation to Transformers.
vegetacron wrote:Yeah, i forgot the anime influence...im tired atm...not thinkin straight, but yeah. I forget that the original Appleseed was out and about a little before this (not the one with CGI in it, the original, original). There was also Gundam and Robotech. Come to think of it, maybe all three of these guys were really more influenced from Gundam.
