That's a real funny name for your MP display.
Delta Magnus wrote:The funy thing is that the MP seekers are actually to more-or-less perfect vehicle mode scale with deluxe cars (and are also nigh-perfect 1/60 scale F-15s), so if you're a vehicle scale buff then they are technically "classics scale".
Of course, "Classics Scale" is something of a misnomer anyway considering the discrepancies in size between the various Classics figures- compare Generations "Laser" Optimus to the old Voyager Classics Prime for example. And it gets even more of a headache if you use vehicle scale, in which case Stealth Bomber Megatron should dwarf Orion Pax, Classics Astrotrains and Octane/Tankor should drastically change size when they transform, etc. The Seekers aren't much better, going from normal sized F-15s (except when the animators got lazy) to car-sized robots- and even that was inconsistent. And then you have the combiner teams, who go from 5 or 6 normal sized guys to 1 absolutely gargantuan robot that's like 20 times the size of Megatron, thus making any attempt to make a version correctly scaled to the cartoon utterly pointless- using Devastator as an example, Hercules is correct combiner scale but slightly off robot scale, as the individual Hercules bots are pretty large.
TL;DR: Scale is screwed regardless of sub-line, and quite frankly there is less than no point trying to faithfully represent the cartoon's ludicrous scale in toy form- mainly because the toys would have to be in a constant state of size flux depending on the angle they were viewed from. It's a similar story with the Evangelion units- but at least Gainax freely admitted they have no set size other than "what looks coolest in the shot" and they were usually well drawn, if not well scaled.

Yeah people really get bent out of shape about scale, such a waste of energy, as long a the bot modes are there or there abouts then I'm happy.

That 1984-1987 TF cartoon was rated by most as one of the worst art cartoons of the 1980's decade.

Each scene and season featured newer size scales for the TF cartoon characters. So basing your newer update TF toy collection off that cartoon series scale is just

The main reason why the Marvel TF comics made the headmasters city bots so tiny. Was due to marvel being cheap and wanting to save money in the drawing and coloring art department budget on the comic.

1980's TF Cartoon Gestalt's that were Ten to Twenty times bigger than the average cartoon Transformer despite their being only Five regular cartoon team members that formed a gestalt.
Season one seekers being double to triple the scale of the bigger autobots cars. then in seasons 2 and 3 being the same scale or smaller than the season 2 and 3 bigger autobots cars.
Soundwave getting a scale smaller in each newer cartoon season.
The seasons 1 and 2 Insecticons cartoon scale changing from smaller, to average, to bigger than the bigger autobots cars in seasons 1 and 2. depending on the animator, episode, scene or season. A few scenes episodes even showed the Insecticons as Dinobots, Optimus and Megatron cartoon scale.
Minibots in the cartoon that had real life sized earth vehicle modes that transformed into robots that were barely a bit taller than earth humans.
Zarak a human sized Headmaster forming the head of a Metroplex scale Scorponok city bot.
Cerebros a robot slighly smaller than optimus forming the head of a metroplex city bot fortress maximus in season 4.
Season 3 Grimlock being the same robot scale of Rodimus Prime and other season 3 TF characters.
Season 3 and 4 ultra magnus being shorter than optimus. Despite ultra magnus transforming into a full car carrier trailer.
Season 3 Predaking shown in early season 3 as being almost double the scale of other gestalts. Then in season 3.5 and 4 Predaking gets downsized to regular gestalt scale.
Season 3 and 4 newer characters, almost being Rodimus prime and Galvatron scale and being drawn as twice the scale of the seasons 1 & 2 bigger autobots-cars despite them all transforming into similar scaled at modes.

Honestly, I'm actually more bothered about vehicle scale. The whole point of the Transformers is that they disguise as vehicles- a Transformer with an unconvincing vehicle mode is no Transformer at all. A huge alien robot can be any size it wants, but an F-15 can only ever be 1 size.
As for only ever displaying them in robot mode...why? Why would you do that? Leaving them frozen in 1 pose on a shelf forever, never transforming them!? At that point you might as well buy non-transformable figures of them! Would you rather have this...
...Than this?
In the name of the toys, I will punish you!
...Excuse me. I've been watching too much Sailor Moon.
