dofp only SUGGESTED some of the events of the first films MAY NOT have happened or MAY HAVE happened a bit differently
X-Men 3 and X-Men Origins have clearly been excised from canon.
i need to see the new one to say what the case is now.
but first class and dofp did not "fully" excise anything from canon
No, it did. I know you like to argue the silliest little points, but in this case you're pretty clearly wrong.
no, im not wrong at all.
remember, im saying things from those films "may" have happened differently
you are saying they didnt happen at all............your claims are far harder to prove useing only the films, prior to the new one, themselves as evidence.
but please, if you want to waste your time trying to ,please do

Oh my God, they "may" have happened differently? Jean, Scott, and Xavier's deaths were all undone because of time travel shenanigans, but yeah, it only might have happened differently.
I'm really not going to waste my time, you're clearly just trying to make bad jokes.

Alright, guys. Healthy discussion is good but let's keep it at that.Shadowman wrote:sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:and btw, we have no clue if their deaths were "un-done"
Yeah we do. They were dead in X3, and then they're alive at the end of Days of Future Past. That's called being "undone." This is what I'm talking about, you're just arguing for the sake of arguing at this point, logic and facts be damned.

Aside from maybe a "Jubilee Cut", I can't see what else they'd add in that would help the story. Maybe a half naked Wolverine running through the forest? It would appeal to the Hugh Jackman fans out there.
That would be cool. I just hope finally a proper Juggernaut shows up. And even though his body doesn't hold up well anymore, I'd like to see Arnold Schwarzenegger be Mr. Sinister. If he's willing to go through the makeup. He did it for Batman & Robin.ZeroWolf wrote:So rumours are it's going to be Mister Sinister for the 90s era movie
But wouldn't they have to have the Hellfire Club for that? I mean, I guess the Club can still be around in the movieverse, but Sebastian Shaw is dead. I don't remember what happened to Emma Frost, though. Maybe they'll make Jason Wyngarde the leader, since it was actually he who controlled Jean Grey.though since they also really want a phoenix movie (and a dark phoenix follow up of course)
Costumes...? The Rock (Dwayne Johnson, whatever) would make a great Gladiator.Wonder how they would do the Shi'ar on the silver screen.

Rodimus Prime wrote:I still don't like Nightcrawler, but this version was much more tolerable than the atrocity from X2. Though I do find it a bit of a letdown that they got away from his origin story of being Mystique's son.
I really wanted to see a shot with Jean, Hank, Scott, and Warren in the film, even if it was a battle scene. IIRC, they were the original 4 in the comics, right?
actully the lines of dialog you are talking about are from the END of the first film, not the beginningThe end sets up the original from 2000 real well, especially Charles and Eric's conversation with the line they spoke at the beginning of the original.

Well, that's the good thing about opinions. They can be different from person to person.sto_vo_kor_2000 wrote:Rodimus Prime wrote:I still don't like Nightcrawler, but this version was much more tolerable than the atrocity from X2. I thought the nightcrawler in x2 was perfect
and maybe they will get into the mother/son relationship in the next film
I don't get what you're saying...I really wanted to see a shot with Jean, Hank, Scott, and Warren in the film, even if it was a battle scene. IIRC, they were the original 4 in the comics, right?
did they ever all "this angle" warren?
Yes, you're right. It's been a while (like, YEARS) since I saw the original. Gonna watch it again today.actually the lines of dialog you are talking about are from the END of the first film, not the beginning

As for the mother/son relationship, if they did that, they need to get an older actress than Jennifer Lawrence. If they kept Kodi Smit-McPhee as NC, he can pass for her brother, but not her son. Unless Mystique is actually a lot older than what Jennifer Lawrence looks like, and she just ages really good.
that we dont know who this "angle" really isI don't get what you're saying...

You keep saying angle, but I think you mean Angel, right?
As for these timelines, in my mind, if they're going to work so hard to muddle and undo the timelines and movies and such, just so they can rush to kill off Jean in the Phoenix saga, then I say: screw it, it doesn't deserve to be argued about, because either way Jeans just going to die (that's how the phoenix saga's end, right?)
