Yeah and combiner kibble like fists, feet, and other accessories as well. The Energon combiner kibble at least was able to be attached to the individual Transformers as weapon parts.

That's a great concept, wonder they abandoned it. Even though ball joints gives more posebility and whatnot, but I have to say I miss those old joints, not as poseble but sturdy.

Who knows? I think now is a good time to see another breakthrough in combiner design! I hope the next Transformers series gives us combiners since TFA didn't do it, though it used a few Constructicons. (Edit: I forgot about Safeguard!) I hope the next combiners use a concept similar to the Aerial Team Appendage Kit with respect to making the combiner kibble well integrated into the separated robots in both alt and bot modes.

Hmm, imagine a Masterpiece level combiner. A lot of people have been clamoring about having Devastator as a future MP figure and I'd love to see Dev get the MP treatment. Imagine how epic, expensive, and structurally difficult it would be to create MP Dev and have it be in scale with the other MP figures. Insanity!

Aye, I originally thought the Animated series would have a Devastator combiner since the intro of Constructicons, but I guess the show got canned before everything went into effect. We're not even getting the Animated Constructicons figs I think.

As for the MP Devastator, I'm sure it's everyone's dreams. I'm def buying it and hoping for a spot on the shelf to display it if it were ever made. :P

If an MP Dev was made and if it was near proper scale in comparison to the other MP figures, it would have its own display case! :D

So not only would the figure be expensive, it would be expensive to display it as well. I'm also rooting for a MP Soundwave. =P~

MP Devastator. ahhh drool. so big so much! GO GREEN. love it. anything Dev is fun. I really REALLY wanted an Animated Devastator! moneywise prob prefer the Animated if ever made... wait ... take that back an MP Dev to scale would be "like killing a unicorn with a bomb!" to my other TF's.
lol
IN A GOOD WAY. please no bombing my toys!

If I had enought $ to go around i'd be all over MP's so I hope they hold off on Dev and Soundwave (which have to be a lock in the making one day along with Screamer) my two fav Cons. The Optimus Grimlock already have been made n I don't have any. arrrrgghh. I'd buy Bumblebee tomorrow though. but to G1 scale he'd be smaller than Deluxe Movie line. lol He'd have to be the smallest MP I doubt he's even worthy of that articulation (no offense he's my fav...just saying MP seem to be worthly to the beasts of G1) and VW ... would they even allow it to be made?
ahhh rambling on.
later
Did Optimus Prime really say "a booby trap caught two boobies?"

I would definitely buy MP BB if it was ever made. I think the closest we'll get to a high quality and intricately designed BB for a long time is Alternity Bumble. I think BB is worthy of MP consideration and due to its size if it's in scale with the other MP figures, it should be cheaper.

The VW kibosh is likely the main thing holding back an MP BB because the MP line is about G1 realization in a high quality figure so without the permission to use the VW Bug for the alt mode, it just wouldn't be a proper MP BB.

I think a set of MP G1 Minibots would be cool. You could buy them separately for relatively cheap prices(compared to a standard MP figure) due to their size. Or you could buy the complete set, which would be expensive but I think worth it. I only had G1 BB as a kid but I loved the Minibots so the idea of a fleet of MP level Minibots is very appealing to me.

I don't have much love for the Autbots minibots, but a group of MPs that are in-scale with other characters seems like a pretty sweet idea. =P~
